The locale is quite dark. Service was friendly. But my oven-baked bacalao 'San Luis' style was dry, drenched in fat and really not so tasty. . Perhaps I just chose the wrong dish - or the cook had a bad day - but we were a bit disappointed...

A small charming restaurant owned by a lovely couple. I had such a delicious dinner for a good price. I would definitely visit this place again. Highly recommend.

The lamb chops were delicious, the mushrooms in garlic are not to be missed. We had planned to go to another restaurant but when we got there the owner said they were closed for vacation, told us about this place, was off the beaten track for sure. We had a fabulous lunch with cold beer, ate all the stuff they... More

Our hotel receptionist recommended this place to us so we took a walk past it during the day and weren't that impressed by its location or sparse exterior but decided to taker the receptionist at her word so returned later that evening and I am very glad that we did. You know you are at a good place when the... More

We had a nice diner in this local restaurant. The atmosphere was cozy. The couple who runs the restaurant do their best, though they're not over-friendly. The traditional steak with coffee sauce was excellent. The wine was nice. The price/quality ratio was good. We had a pleasant evening.

This restaurant was recommended by our pensao as the best in Evora. We went twice but the first time it wasn't open. Im glad we persevered because the next night was excellent. Friendly and helpful professional waiter who dished up the chicken and bread soup with silver service. Wonderful meal as was the grilled pork with bread and garlic puree.... More

The two of us turned up unexpectedly because our intended restaurant was closed - and luckily early - and enjoyed a very well-cooked meal. We don't look for gourmet stuff, just enjoyable straightforward food. The restaurant quickly filled up and these were mainly Portuguese speakers, including a four-generation family party. We would certainly recommend this place - and it was... More

We had dinner yesterday evening as recommended by the owner of the Quinta where we stayed in the Restaurante S. Luis. I was not very amazed about the food I (or we) got. The starters (olives, a paste made of braised meat and bread) were really okay. But I've seen better things in other restaurants. My beefsteak was ... not... More

The couple running the restaurant was very welcoming, and helpful in choosing a great meal. The beef filets melted in the mouth, the pork was full of flavor. A cauliflour bread bake made for a delicious and uncommon side dish. Incl. wine and bread we paid 33EUR, so great value.
