A regular meal in a typical restaurant

I visited this restaurant with my family on our summer holidays. It's not too far from giraldo, food and staff are ok. Our dinner cost us about 12/14 € per person, and we liked of we got for that price (soup, water, bread, cheese, main courses, desserts and coffee). It was not our best meal at... read more

We got the recommendation from our hotel to eat at this restaurant. We went to have lunch at St. Luis and were extremely happy with the food, wine and the service. We were a party of 6 and all of our food was extremely delicious. The waiter was very friendly and made sure we were all satisfied with our choices.... More

We were recommended to eat here and were glad of that - we wouldn't have found it ourselves. This is authentic Alantejo food and wine, good food with good service. We were in quite early but it filled up with local people - always a good sign.

Thoroughly recommend, lovely hosts and staff, excellent food and great atmosphere. Good choice of local and traditional dishes and an amazing array of local delicacies to start your meal. Good choice of local wines. Prices were excellent, will definitely go back again. Book in advance as it's a very popular and busy restaurant.

Restaurante S. Luis was highly recommended by our hotel, Pensao Residencial Policarpo, as an authentic Portuguese restaurant away from the tourist area; it took a bit of effort to find but once found, it was a gem. The interior of the property was interesting, modern but rustic, appeared to be a renovated storage facility or barn (had a pulley on... More

This restaurant was recommended by the staff at our hotel, and they provided a map to find this somewhat hidden place. This was our first meal in Portugal, so we made the mistake of paying for appetizers we didn't want. Other than that, the meal was great with an abundance of food and excellent house wine. The highlight of the... More

Highly recommended to enjoy Alentejo meat and wines! With my Russian friends, very pleasant evening there! Pork is the speciality but the chef can fix you everything from fish to beef. Very good wine selection...

The restaurant serves very good food. The is a big selection of local cuisine that is quite delicious and the portions are really big. They have a large wine selection featuring local wines, which I found were fantastic, especially the whites. Service is very good as well. The restaurant is beautifully decorated with local décor. If you make it to... More

Hotel reception recommended the restaurant, also it was close by and it was a damp rainy day. Walking on cobblestones in wet condition does not help. Easy to find, plenty of signs on the street corners. Quite busy, we booked a table so no issues. We went with the starters plonked on the table, looked interesting, the sheep cheese a... More

I have visited this restaurant numerous times over the past 6 months during my business trips to Evora, and this is well worth searching for it is just off the main road close to the Moov Hotel and the Ibis hotel. The owner speaks perfect English for all us English that only speak our native tongue Food is always well... More
