A truly grim experience on 4/5. Despite the wine menu showing 4 types of Rose on offer none were available. The hot sausage starter never arrived and when reported missing was met by a shrug of the shoulders by the 'waiter', The duck with rice was just only that and the Lamb Stew was frankly a farce - neck of... This was our second holiday in Portugal...and although this was very good food (both visits) it seems expensive by Portuguese standards. The pork with clams and spiced pork loin were both very good and the the house wine superb (but 16E a bottle).... and the cakes for dessert very tasty...but watch out for charges for bread, butter nibbles etc as... This restaurant is just off the main square, worth finding. The specialize in regional dishes. Large servings. We tried the lamb stew, it was excellent. The clam and pork, yes, it is a local dish, was more interesting than good. Fun to have tried it, the clams were super but the pork a bit dry. The local wine was surprisingly... More

Many restaurants are closed on Sunday, so checked Lonely Planet and this restaurant was listed as being open on Sunday. Walked up a meandering, narrow street, down stairs to a cellar, and had the best meal in Portugal. Everything was cooked to perfection! I had found the boiled potatoes to be salty, but not here. There is nothing to dislike... More

Pity as we were recommended to go here. We were shown to our table by the waiter who then chose to ignore us and served the next table. We had to ask for drinks - NO Rose wine - only red or white. When ask what fish was available - NO fish. so we left with the manager telling us... More

This is an unpretentious local restaurant with very good table service. We had a very good meal consisting of local dishes as recommended by the waiter all washed down with a very good local wine. Not the cheapest meal but very good value for money. The fairest we could say is that we would certainly go back.

Near the main square but in a calmer street, this is a good, if somewhat expensive option, if you want friendly service and nice local food (including wine and deserts). The atmosphere is calm and reserved.

I've been eating here since the early nineties. In my opinion the second best restaurant in Evora. This place is right off the main square on a small side street. The food is regional and fresh with a good wine list from the area. You're able to dine in two different small rooms . I recommend sticking to the meat... More

This is a nice place to drop into for lunch if you are visiting Evora and a much better option than the tourist traps on the main square. It's down a little narrow street not far from the main square. The food is simple and unassuming but the flavors are all there and the service is friendly and welcoming. The... More
