Half portions!

This is a superb pub/restaurant in a pretty village. Adnams excellent beer, and a good varied menu. We had liver and bacon which was delicious. The portions being rather large (and very good value for money) I asked if they did half portions - and they do - if possible - halving the ducks egg in... read more

We are staying in Middleton on holiday and as this is our local pub we had to visit as it would be rude not to! The food was excellent. Freshly cooked, piping hot and generous portions. I had the pan fried chicken and hubby demolished the pork chop. Both were superb. Being an Adnams pub hubby felt obliged to have... More

Just turned up after driving down lots of narrow country roads in our old little sports car looking for The Bell in Middleton. Found it, no problem. A lovely olde worlde pub. Food excellent, atmosphere wonderful. Staff and Landlord brilliant. Highly recommended. We were very lucky that there was a table free, best to book to avoid disappointment.

We stay in Middleton on holiday and just love the Suffolk coast. We usually go, as a treat, to Main's restaurant in nearby Yoxford (it's a wonderful fine-dining restaurant) but the Bell Inn is just a walk from our cottage. Sadly, it's been full on the two times we've tried to book a table before (it's a very popular local... More

I have just had a wonderful supper cooked by the new chef at the Middleton Bell. I can't believe it but he is actually better than the last chef , A real find , and I will return. Fine food at pub prices plus excellent beer and in a real warm traditional country pub that makes you feel very welcome,

Enjoyed a number of evenings at the Bell Inn during a week long stay in the village. On the first visit we had drinks and happened upon a locals 70th birthday celebration. It seemed the whole village had turned out and an evening of singing and music was enjoyed. The second visit we wanted to have dinner although they were... More

We visited The Bell Inn where we enjoyed superb real ale and sat near a log fire in a very warm and convivial atmosphere. Great venue in an attractive village.

Called in for lunch, party of 5, inc 2 kids. First greeting was 'cannot do food now', nice.. Walked in to bar for a drink, locals glaring, landlord told lad of 7 yrs not to come to bar.. Drinks ok, nothing special. Surviving on the 'olde worlde' image and not on its hospitality. Wont go back in a hurry. Better... More
