You can have very disagreeable surprises in restaurants on the belgian coast. Tourist traps are legion. This one is NOT one of them. And yes, it's not cheap. If you want cheap (but sometimes very good) food, go to a friterie. The quality of the food here is very good. The setting maybe a bit old... read more

This is really the best restaurant in Ostend and the best Italian at the Belgian seaside. Here you eat real fine italian food but in some season's with a Belgian ingredients. As a starter the tuna carpacio is so simple, so fine, so good. The aspurges with parmesan cream and San Daniele is really top. The fish in salt corset... More

Went for the set menu, which was ok, the veal with truffles was the high light of the meal, the rest was less memorable, we would visit again, but go a la carte. Vine arrangement was good value, but the service was VERY slow!! Tell them if you have a train to catch.

Restaurant booked by my mother, a local, who'd been here once before, to celebrate her 87th birthday.Despite having reserved well in advance, we somehow did not seem to be expected and to mama's disappointment (bejewelled, she'd also dressed up specially for the occasion!), found ourselves shunted to the least attractive table in the house, adjacent to the kitchen pass and... Do not go there for a simple pizza, it is a waste... They offer fine Italian cuisine. A culinary delight, a nice old fashioned service. I go there when I want to indulge myself, please myself and treat myself to a nice dinner where I feel like a privileged customer. The view is superb (if you sit by the window),... More

Family lunch on a Saturday. Everyone (ages varied from 9 to 70) was thrilled with the food and charming, friendly service. So very Italian, warm and funny and accommodating our every wish. I loved my seafood pasta starter, bursting with flavours, and ossobucco for main. Beautiful wine list with an abundance of Italian wines. A tad on the pricey side,... More

The food was good and the decor pleasant but €10.00 for a bottle of water tells you everything about about the value for money. Wine list extensive but overpriced.

Chance encounters are always good fun... To start the month on the right foot we went to Ristorante Marina on December 1st. We had the special menu for the 40 years of Marina and it was super. Marina definitely is one of the better addresses in Ostend and we heartily recommend to try them out. Italian wine lovers, beware! The... More

The interior is a little bit over the top ("kitsch") but the food (fish and italian cuisine) was simply excellent. We had limited time for this business lunch and didn't look at the menu. Just asked Mr Domenico what we should have. Antipasti and fish suggestions were outstanding. Timing was respected.

Excellent food. A bit expensive but worth every cent. Great classy atmosphere. Italian boss makes the sabaglione in front of all the guest shaking hiss bum. Very funny. A must do while visiting Oostende.
