After our first three choices weren’t available (Grillion and Vieux Port closed forever and Lusitanian was on vacation), we were at a loss to choose a restaurant. So I asked an Ostende family with a refined palette where I should go. This was at the top of their list. So we went. Nicely set tables and comfy décor. Definitely a... More

The excellent fine food and a nice seaview, make this restaurant the best place in Ostend and the Belgian coastline...

Strolled onto this place while walking the promenade. Very nice interior. Menus in French and Dutch but not English although the staff were all multilingual and very accommodating. Had a wonderful fish dish with lobster in the bernaise sauce and a heavenly dessert they split without asking. Wonderful view of the sunset and great people watching!

This is a perfect restaurant with a great view of the sea. Very cosy interior as well. Staff is professional (though not perfect) and very friendly and helpfull. We had the 5-course menu, and this is more than enough, even when yoy enter with a big appetite. The house champagne is a good starter (fruity, yet not sweet). 5 appetizers,... More

Great food, service and location. Stunning dishes. Attention to detail. Wine list could do with an update to include Italian wines. Stayed with party of six to celebrated 45th anniversary of our parents (in law).

nice setting at the seaside with pretty views - the interior looks a bit worn out as are the dishes - the silver cutlery hasn't been polished for years - lunch with pairing wine, (including a glass of champagne, water and coffee) for 80 € pp - great food and pleasant wines - no complicated combinations but tasty fresh cuisine... We had the "degustatie" (tasting) menu and it was simply delicious. The different courses did complement each other and were very refined. The accompanied wines were well chosen, the one white wine was one of the best wines I have ever had, if not the best. Service could have been a bit less rude, since the waitress interrupted our conversation... More

I went there with customers. The food was excellent, so was the wine. I told the waiter that everything had to be perfect because I brought 2 customers. they did everything they could to deliver first class service. I am very grateful to them. Top class.

We went to Le Savarin for my mother's birthday during a family weekend in Ostend. We had the 7 course menu, with wines. We were very satisfied with the food and wines, which were all excellent quality, served with professionalism, by a rather young staff. One remark: my 6 year old son was with us, and there was no flexibility... More
