Food was amazing!! Service great too, lively and seemed to be full of locals as opposed to tourists! Loved it

went here for my husbands 50th dinner, booked on the back of tripadvisor comments and also a review in a guide book. smallish and very hot, but that doesnt stop me heavily recommending this place. the staff were fantastic and our waiter (poss one of the owners I think) was very helpful, spoke great English and described the food well.... After having gone two nights to highly rated restaurants that spent too much time on reductions and decorations, and not enough time on quality of taste, going to Rock Fort was one of the more spectacular surprises of this trip to Bruges. My companion and I split three starters and two larger dishes. Our server, who we discovered is a... More

Great food, every course a beautiful surprise. As a New Yorker I've eaten in my share of Michelin starred places. The top tier places are all a bit solemn. Rock Fort is fun, something that gets lost in the struggle for that Second/Third Star, but there is no compromise on food. Service is great. I especially enjoyed the pretty almost... More

We were lucky this restaurant was near to our hotel otherwise might not have discovered it and would have missed out. It is a fine dining restaurant with a chef who clearly has studied his craft. We went twice and both times had the "chefs menu" for €49 for four courses. This was a magical mystery tour of food as... More

Stumbled across this restaurant by accident as it was on way into town centre from our hotel. Thought it was just a bar that had been tarted up a bit so was a nice surprise to find such excellent food! The base menu is fairly limited but the specials and tapas options certainly gave us enough choice. Service was very... More

We spent 3 nights in Brugge and this was a first class experience. We didn't book so was pleased they could accommodate us, we took a raised table looking into the kitchen and it was an experience watching how this well oiled machine worked. The food was original and well crafted, I had some of the biggest langoustine I have... More

These two guys know about their stuff. Tasty locally-grown products, imaginative dishes with classic notes, good quantities. The only drawback for me was the quality of the wines served (what's more, at a hefty price). But good experience overall.

We had a fabulous dinner here. Modern comfortable setting. Service could have been more attentive but the food was exceptional. Highly recommended.

I am probably getting near to my 100th visit to this absolutely fab place in Bruges...Probably my favourite casual fine dining place in Europe. It was again very good thanks to the unbeatable blend of chef Hermes's culinary creations and the impeccable and ever surprising wine pairing of his brother in arms Peter. The dishes I had clearly show that... More
