Excellent value fixed menu. Generous portions. Modern and luxurious surroundings. French style cooking. Friendly staff. Nice outside seating area. Out of town centre but easy to get to on foot from centre and station.Worth going to for business or pleasure.

My mussels starter and sea bass main were exceptional and my husband's choice of mackerel to start and steak with bearnaise sauce were faultless. Complimentary nibbles... More

Went with friends a few weeks ago and we all agreed : we will come again in summertime, to enjoy eating in the garden! Good food, nice staff, in short, good value for money!! Try it and you will have a great time.

rarely return to a restaurant but this was one of the best dishes I have ever had, with saffron in the sauce. Absolutely charming staff. home made bread was wonderful too, along with mashed potatoes with ? nutmeg? we are going back for more. excellent half bottle of pouilly fume as well.

This is a safe place to go when visiting Bruges which is full with tourist traps. The prices are aligned with Bruges standards but you won't be disappointed by the quality

'Hidden' inside a four star hotel. Very nice atmosphere and a very warm welcome by lady Nathalie. Our table chose the set menu: the best 'smeu' (a local shrimp dish with mashed potatoes topped with an egg), as a main course we took baked meat with a delicious salad and french fries. Perfect medium rare. Wines are well selected and... More

Den Heerd moved from Damme to Brugge and is now located in a splendid pavillion behind hotel Montanus. The terrace is amazing (later in the evening the illumination was insufficient) and the staff is very service-oriented and easy-oing. I like it when waiters are informal yet correct and have a subtle sense of humour. We've been there twice in two... More
