This was a typical Bruges cafe/restaurant. We had a luck here, a salad, which was poorly made and presented. A salad! and it was 16 euros. Sitting outside in Bruges in July is ok, but then you hit smokers. All in all, I'd avoid.

The Den Amand menu features Asian-influenced variations on the typical comfort food menu, and our visit there gave us a welcome change from the traditional menus typical of a lot of restaurants in Bruges. The warm goat cheese and honey salad was delicious, as were the pasta with salmon and cream sauce and the chicken with basmati rice. Den Amand... More

Found this little place for dinner one evening. Food was gorgeous, all freshly prepared. We waited a while for our main course, which was acknowledged, the staff had apologies and we received a half a litre of nice wine as an apology. Definitely one to visit if you want to try Belgium cuisine.

We were delighted to have found this quality place. The food was typically belgian and great value for money. The service was excellent and not rushed in any way. Would definitely recommend.

Good food, but don't go here expecting fine dining (despite the price point) and you won't be disappointed. It's a very good choice in a sea of touristy restaurants and was full of mainly local diners. Although it's small, they were also very accommodating of our two small children and the waiter was lovely.

Recommended by our B&B host. Very quaint place with small menu and a few specials. Both our lunches were very good. I had the asparagus and egg special, which was very delicious, although a bit pricy for 20 euros. My partner had the steak which was cooked well. We had some good wine and beer. Overall, a nice place with... More

Went without booking today to this charming small restaurant a block off the too busy market place. Charming host is the waiter while his wife and another cook man the kitchen behind a high counter. Had a very nice chicken and bacon salad while my wife had soup and fries. Noticed booking for the evening while we ate. Very convenient,... More

Excellent. A winner ! My wife had the scampi salad and I had a quorn, a vegetarian dish. I've never had quorn before. Both were very tasty, served hot and were presented very well. Our inn keeper recommended this restaurant and she was right on. It was a bit hard to find, but we're glad we took the time to... More

This was one of the restaurants recommended by our B&B host. We chose to eat here our last night. What a delight! The food was fantastic. The quality and portions were perfect. The hosts were friendly, and accommodating to their customers. The restaurant is small, so you should plan to come a bit early to make sure that you can... More

This restaurant is very small and very very popular. You have to book to avoid being disappointed but the food is sensational, freshly cooked to order by the owners. Prices are fair bearing in mind the quality and quantity of the food. Try the steamed fish tower, delicious. It is in Sint-Amandstraat 4, tel. (050) 34 01 22. www.denamand.be
