Fabulous garlic butter mussels

We had dinner two nights in a row because the food so good. The 1/2 plate, garlic butter mussels are fabulous along with the pan-fried sole. Get your reservations in for dinner as the main room is cozy. They appeared to be a little short handed so we waited longer than normal -- worth the wait.

We had heard fantastic things about this restaurant - best mussels in Bruges apparently. This was not the case. I've had far better mussels at half the price. The squid salad starter was nice, spicy Asian flavours gave it a unique twist. Oysters weren't the freshest and not flavoursome enough to be served with the over-confidence implied by just one... This was written up in a guide book and also suggested by our hotel so we decided to sample muscles here and were not disappointed. The waitress was friendly and helpful as we decided which ones to order and confirmed that they are local and in season. Kids enjoyed their meals too although I must say Bruges has the most... More

Managed to bag the best seat in the house right by the open sash window. We had seafood for both starter and main and it really was good. However, we feel like tourists - by that I mean it felt a little like a conveyor belt - not the usual relaxed experience we have when eating out for dinner. The... More

This has probably the best moules frites we had in Belgium and it's famous for it. It's not the most atmospheric or picturesque restaurant in Bruges, but it's well worth it for the food.

Although they were busy, we managed to get a table and I'm so glad we did! We started with a pre-dinner cocktail called The Kiss. A bit expensive (8) but delicious. We had mussels and were very impressed with the portion size. Very friendly service!

Make sure you book in advance. The walk in approach won't do you any good. Go for the tables on he 1st floor -spacious and quieter. And of course ask for mussels! They are gorgeous and served with generous servings of fries.

We had dinner here with friends, including teenagers, at the recommendation of our hotel. Easily located near the Markt Square & they were able to seat us immediately on a Friday evening. Several people in our group ordered mussels which they said were very good & fresh. Food overall was very good. Service was prompt & friendly & the prices... More

We went here as we asked young woman in the hotel best place to eat mussels and fish and she said her and her friends and family always go here. Interesting as it's so close to main squares, i would have avoided it otherwise. What a mistake that would have been. We had a superb meal. Lobsters were incredible. Great... More
