A real lunchtime treat

Popped in on the off chance of getting a table for the lunchtime special - the place was heaving and we nearly turned around to leave but were called back by the staff who showed us upstairs to a fabulously stylish room overlooking the street. How the food tastes is only part of the dining experience. The service plays a key role as well. And because the servers were so rude and the food took too long, we were too upset to enjoy the food. When we had asked the server to serve our dishes all at once as we were pressed for time, they... More

We where recommended this restaurant by the receptionist at our hotel and we where not disappointed. My wife had cod and I had the scampi which of course in Europe is without batter. Both our meals where excellent. As we had not booked we had to go upstairs so would recommend booking as the atmosphere is better downstairs.

Good food. Seemed like there were lots of locals. The restaurant was quite busy on a Sunday evening and the wait staff seemed a bit overwhelmed at times but they really hustled.

We have eaten here before on a previous visit to Bruges and made a point of returning for dinner again. We were not disappointed. The restaurant is on the corner of the town square in the middle of all brute's attractions and it is predominantly a fish restaurant with excellent staff and chef. Booking is advisable. It has a lovely... More

Just had lunch here and I would like to post this as I can still recall the wonderful smile of Jessy who served at our table. The Mussels were cooked to high level of excellence. And we enjoyed every one of the mussels. They have several labels at the entrance to indicate their culinary expertise. And I believe their business... More

This little restaurant was yummy. I had a very delicious chicory and fennel soup as a starter. And for my main I had a very very gorgeous cod fillet with Brugge Beer Sauce. It was so so good. I can not wait to go back and have more. The atmosphere was also very nice. It's not a very big place... More

We had dinner here on our last night in Belgium and the food was mediocre but the service was horrible. We asked for hot water (in addition to the beer and sprite drinks that we ordered) without knowing that they would charge us 2.80 Euros for each glass! Three cups of hot water refills later, we had a charge of... More

We were on our annual pilgrimage to Brugge. American Thanksgiving eve we dined here for one thing, mussels. Our server, an affable and diligent person took great care serving us. The mussels were again (we have been coming here since 1985) an amazing combination of flavors, cooked in white wine to perfection. The broth possessed a balance of ingredients and... More
