This little restaurant was yummy. I had a very delicious chicory and fennel soup as a starter. And for my main I had a very very gorgeous cod fillet with Brugge Beer Sauce. It was so so good. I can not wait to go back and have more. The atmosphere was also very nice. It's not a very big place... More

We had dinner here on our last night in Belgium and the food was mediocre but the service was horrible. We asked for hot water (in addition to the beer and sprite drinks that we ordered) without knowing that they would charge us 2.80 Euros for each glass! Three cups of hot water refills later, we had a charge of... More

We were on our annual pilgrimage to Brugge. American Thanksgiving eve we dined here for one thing, mussels. Our server, an affable and diligent person took great care serving us. The mussels were again (we have been coming here since 1985) an amazing combination of flavors, cooked in white wine to perfection. The broth possessed a balance of ingredients and... More

We reserved Breydel-de Coninck thinking we would have a fabulous meal with mussels! We were extremely disappointed to say the least. It was very very busy and all we saw were two wait staff attending all the tables on the main floor. We waited 45 minutes for an appetizer and another one hour for our main meal. When we finally... Cod with Belgium beer sauce served with double cooked chips. In this reviewer's opinion the best chips in Bruges. Other dishes also good mussels, fish soup and a fish stew.

We spent a day in Bruges in August as part of a Baltic cruise. One of the many chocolate vendors we visited recommended this restaurant, which is right off the Markt. The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was great. The staff were very friendly, and it was a nice break from shopping. We recommend the mussels.

My husband and I dined here with another couple during our trip to Brugges. This restaurant is Michelin rated! The lobster was deliciously seasoned and the frites were excellent as well. It was a great atmosphere for relaxed conversation and our waitress was very attentive. There is also a fun aquarium with beautiful orange fish. It was a fun distraction... More

we enjoyed the food and friendly atmosphere, but portions were too large and as a result were too expensive. We suggest sharing a starter and a main course of moule frites between two, then you might just have room for a dessert.
