nice affordable lunch

It was more than 10 years ago we had been here and we recalled it as a nice place with good food. A stormy autumn day in Bruges brought us back to this cozy place where we warmed up next to the fire. We took a menu offer (starter and main course à la carte with all the extras like... read more

We spent four days in Bruges and had dinner here twice because it was such a lovely experience. My husband and I are both vegetarians and the chef was able to adapt our needs to the menu. Everything was quite wonderful, the pakoras, samosas, garlic naan. We had palak paneer and an aloo gobi masala and also a coconut curry... More

Really enjoyed Bhavani. We just ordered main courses with naan bread and found it was plenty. The paneer curry was quite mild but delicious, coconut curry a little spicier and really delicious. It's not cheap, but it bears comparison with the best Indian food I've had in the UK. On weekends you week to need a reservation.

Had a really enjoyable meal here after a day's sightseeing - I'm so glad I didn't read the reviews here first or I may not have gone and would have missed out on a lovely mea!! I wouldn't normally choose to go to an Indian on holiday but this made a nice change from chicken/mussels/steak/frites that seem to make up... More

this restaurant spoiled us for the hometown take-out we are used to because the food was EXCELLENT! Very tasteful and divers. I was introduced to the Lassi (yoghurt drink) and could choose between sweet, salted or spiced. I chose the salted variety. Very nice :) Our meal were two different meatcurries with a phenomenon naan on the side (naan suggested... More

My boyfriend and I are both vegetarians and knew that an Indian restaurant would probably have the most amount of veggie choices on the menu so we headed to what looked like an interesting restaurant. The decor was nice and the staff reasonably friendly. We didn't have a reservation but were seated upstairs straight away and a little later our... More

Stepping into this restaurant was by far the worst move I made whilst staying in Bruges. Upon entering, my boyfriend and I were left standing waiting to be seated for 10 minutes despite the fact that the restaurant was empty. This followed a further 30 minutes waiting to order drinks. During this time, the waitress stood behind the bar cleaning... More

The quantities served for the price you pay a far to small. We were 2 and took an aperitif, appetizer, main course, one bottle of water and 1/2l of white wine. We payed 115€. The menu they offer are at 33 € for appetizer and maincourse but the drinks are extremely expensive. 28 € for 1/2 chardonnay. Will never go... More

We attended this very, very expensive restaurant on Simon Stevinplein in Bruges that claims to serve “authentic” 'Indian' food. The food was extremely overpriced, with everything costing double or triple what it would cost in Ireland. Like most places in Bruges, we knew this place was expensive when we entered, but as a tourist sometimes you are willing to overlook... More
