Quirky with a great menu

We had spaghetti bolognaise and goats cheese salad. Both were delicious. Service was very good and friendly. The bolognaise was home made and the chef was delighted with our complements.

Situated in one of the side streets of one of the main squares, what a find, this is a fabulous colourful, modern, artfully decorated gem of a restaurant in the middle of Historic Bruges that delivers mouth watering food with helpful but not in your face service. For 20 euros you can have three courses which include the traditional cheese... More

Being close to the main square I was concerned that this could be a tourist trap, but how wrong I was. Drawn in by a giant red chicken on the street the decor inside is a work of art. Home made wholesome food awaits at a great price. Service is very attentive and friendly. Don't miss this experience on your trip... More

While looking for affordable, authentic moules frites we found Arthie's. The quirky decor is a major contrast to the cities atmosphere, and upon meeting the owner you realize the restaurant is an extension of him- original, interesting, warm. We had a leisurely lunch of delicious mussels and wine and after we continued exploring the beautiful city. Perfect for what we... More

Excellent wholesome food in a truly unusual setting, with the host being attentive and the pricing being very reasonable. If you're looking for good, honest food then look no further. This place and Ribs N Beer are on my list for when I return to Bruge!

Had a late lunch on the set menu, markt and ribs. Great value, slightly eccentric but amusing staff highly recommended for location and value. Only disappointment was the overpriced tiny bottles of mineral water, sadly they would not serve tap water!!

We have discovered this restaurant by walking to the water canaille Brugge. This is now about 6 years ago. Every time we go to Brugge we have to eat there. The food is excellent and very nicely decorated. Also it is always fresh and taste is like it needs to be. The waiters are very helpful and very friendly. They... More

Very interesting place to eat in Bruges. The interior is so unexpected, colorful and bright. The service is friendly and fast, the food is delicious and the prices are adequate for Bruges. We paid E40 for two incl drinks.

We fell upon Arthie's by accident really, looking for somewhere to eat one evening. It was a Thursday and quite quiet but we were encouraged to sit in the window. The decor was such that Arthie's would fit well in Manchesters Northern Quarter, a lovely mis-match of colours and some fab penguins too which I loved. We tried the local... More

Visited on new years eve. A big positive was no extortionate charging for this time of year. Ordered were 2 flemish stews which had mixed reviews, one really liked and the other thought nothing spectacular. I had salmon with 'american potatoes' (wedges!) which was all overcooked, the salmon was crispy outside and the wedges were pretty dark but it was... More
