Great restaurant and service. Food is nicely presented like in a gastro restaurant, while portions are sufficient. Great wine selection as well!

Simple elegant, small menu, locally-sourced everything, tables of stylish locals make this an escape from the tourist madness around the rest of Bruges; we were lucky enough to be able to eat there (during the week) without a reservation

We discovered Kok au Vin on the internet, and walked over to have a look before reserving. It is a relatively small place, simple but modern and attractive. The menu is small, offering 3 choices for each of 3 courses. The food is modern in concept, artfully plated, and very well prepared. Some of the choices seemed odd on the... More

We made a booking here based on the good reviews that it has received. We were happy with our meals (3 courses for 35 euro which is a very good value). The food was artfully prepared, cooked well, and good quality. The desserts are amazing! The service is so-so. We sat there for around 10-15 minutes waiting for menus and... More

Ended up here by accident but were really pleased that we did. The food superbly presented and it was tempting to take a picture. The combinations of food are really interesting. My venison main was served with a few pieces curried popcorn! Very strange but really good. Pears & chocolate ice cream served with fennel. The John Dory was perfectly... More

The first impression is of a friendly and stylish interior with warm and personable service. They had lovely plates. There was free bread with a delicious pâté to pick at when we sat down. There was then a pre stater with pork and apple, only small but it tasted great. The food we ordered had excellent bold flavour combinations reminding... More

There are a lot of restaurants in Brugge, some of them are touristy, some of them are expensive, and some of them are world class... this one is world class. On recommendation from our B&B host, we ate dinner here on our first night in town and where amazed by everything from the menu options, to wine selections, and service.... More

We found this restaurant via Tripadvisor and website recommendations after our initial picks were booked out. We phoned ahead on the day - they had a table free at 9.15pm and it was very busy when we arrived. I must say we had an excellent time and the food was of a very high standard. We eat at a lot... We were excited to eat here and were not disappointed. Fantastic food, extremely tasty and cooked to perfection. Always surprising and inventive without ever being pretentious or complex simply for the sake of it. Good service and a friendly chef saying hello at the start of service. Definitely get the 5-course menu - its worth it to taste as much... More
