This restaurant was brilliant. Had been in Paris a week and nothing compared to this place in quality. Had some very good meals in paris, but not great meals this trip. Arrived for 3 days in Bruges and ate here twice. 2 brothers run it together. (and they still seem on friendly terms) Meals exceptional, service very good and small... More

Owned by 2 brothers, 1 cooks, 1 serves. The food was simply delightful, as was the service. Peter translated and explained the choice of 4 starters, four main courses and 4 deserts. We chose, ordered wine and ate. What an experience. You know when you have had a great meal...This was a great meal. The restaurant is fairly compact however,... More

Recommended by our hostess Lynn from Huis Koning, Pomperlut was booked for our Silver Wedding Annversary meal. A small intimate restaurant, with a somewhat quirky interior that is run by two brothers Peter and Nick? (the chef). Peter welcomes you in by a roaring log fire, takes your coats and ushers you to your seats. He then proceeds to explain... More

Our friends found Pomperlut on Trip Advisor when planning vacation in Brugges. What a fantastic find! Located in a quaint red house on a residential street across from a park, the atmosphere is comfortable and romantic. Wonderful food prepared perfectly. We were so pleased by our experience. Highly recommended.

Bags of character and a very friendly owner make this an ideal choice if you're after something slightly different. Predominantly a seafood based menu when we went but this was no bad thing as both our dishes were cooked to perfection. Loved the quirky decor and would certainly return if we were back in Brugge.

My husband and I stumbled upon pomperlut after we had been walking around brugge all day. We walked in and the host/owner immediately greeted us with a friendly smile and informed us although there were no tables available that night, we could return the next if we'd like. He then was so kind to explain the entire handwritten menu to... More

Recommended by our Hotel, the Pand, my wife and I thankfully chose this marvellous little restaurant. We asked for character and got it in spades. Although it was not a cold evening the warmth of the fire as we walked in was echoed by the warmth of the welcome by our host. Cosy best describes this little gem. The selection... More

I had read the excellent reviews a couple of weeks before our upcoming visit to Bruges and felt we must visit the Pomperlut and see if it really is as good as everyone says .We wanted a small intimate restaurant , celebrating my birthday . We arrived rather early on the 26th August for a 7pm booking , not wanting... More

Our B&B Hosts gave us the scoop on this restaurant. What a find. The atmosphere was beautiful and quaint. The menu though slightly limited is a guarantee of quality and freshness and was very well presented. The two brothers who own the place show their commitment to running one of the best restaurants in Bruges. (which is very tough with... More
