We stumbled upon this place on a sunny day in Bruges and enjoyed a sandwich and glass of wine in their cosy garden. It was lovely and peaceful and one of the less touristy cafés in Bruges - great value and atmosphere.

What a great find! We found this place casually while walking around quiet little roads. At first we thought we were entering into a house! The lady was very nice and she told us that she's actually living there. :) We had lunch there and a waffle for dessert. Delicious!

Nice little place near the cathedral, very pretty. The hot chocolate and apple cake was really nice, but the owner seemed a little bit lacking in the smile department. She could have just been having an off day... She turned a couple of people away for being in groups larger than 4, but wasn't terribly polite about it. I did... More

The salt in this place is not on the right place, meaning on the table. It was the bill 'very salted' for what we got. My wife and I ordered 2 toasts, a mineral water, a glass of wine and a slice of apple cake and paid 28,20 Euros. The place is extremely nice becuase of the atmosphere (nice furnitures,... More

We stumbled across this delightful house quite by accident. It is so lovely, a proper Flanders town house. Very peaceful, the other clients were a student writing in a corner and the parents of twin babies who found a haven to feed themselves and their babies! We ate toasted sandwiches with lovely salad followed by the best waffles, ice cream... More

This place is fantastic, the most beautiful tearoom of the entire city! The tearooms along the central ways are extremely crowded and noisy, this one is the opposite: it is big inside, quiet and really welcoming. Staff is extremely kind and all the food provided is handmade (great apple cake). This is the perfect place to relax after a walk... More

very pretty room for lunch or afternoon tea but two slices of toast and a slice processed ham with some spreadable cheese does not a nice croque monsiuer make and charging 10.50euro for the honour was a bit hard on the wallet in these recessionary times!!

I came across Marie's House, it was a delightful place, with fine pieces of furniture andfittings. I had a toasted sandwhich and a bottle of trapist beer and enjoyed the relaxed atmoshere. The service I experienced was excellent.

A group of us attempted to get afternoon tea/coffee & cakes here on a Sunday afternoon. Despite there being plenty of room we were denied service - may have had something to do with the fact that we were at least thirty years younger than the rest of the clientele and the staff.
