Cosy, welcoming, nice atmosphere and really good food.

Went here with some friends and family for our yearly mini break to Bruges for beer sampling. Excellent food and the usual Belgium beers on offer. Will be a consideration for next year

We are here after a bike ride on a rainy Sunday afternoon and it was a very nice spot. We sat upstairs so took a little while to get served but we weren't in a rush. Menu is also a little limited but everyone was pleased with what they had (massive ribs, meatballs, magic sausages (!) and a fish stew)... More

Great meal and neat place. I had the lamb chops which were fabulous. The chops themselves were so tender but the herbs and spices on them added such flavor. They were served with roasted vegetables which were cooked and seasoned perfectly. My husband had the rabbit. It was cooked so it was almost falling off the bone moist. The sauce... More

My partner and I have been generally quite disappointed and underwhelmed by the food in Bruges. This restaurant is one of the best but out of a bad bunch! The traditional Flemish stew was delicious, packed with flavour and the chips were pretty standard. The prices for what you get were not reasonable in comparison to what you would get... More

In short: The Habit serves honest, proper meals, local recipees at honest prices. Not the best you'll ever eat but tasty for a nice night out. Great and friendly service, don't go there if you have little time to spare. Overall a nice experience, not overrun by tourists.

Not sure why this place has 4 and 5 star reviews. We have eaten at much better places at a lower cost. Food was OK but not really high quality. We were very disappointed. Service is friendly but slow and the space is tight.

Excellent all around. My wife had the ribs which were good and the mixed grill I had was great. My wife also said the chocolate mousse was beautiful. One mark off for the poor beer selection (leffe and Stella).

We we were staying in Brugge for a short break and wanted to find somewhere a little different to eat. WE FOUND IT! The Habit is a lovely 'off the beaten track' family restaurant, run by a mother and two daughters, Very welcoming, good food, great service and good value. Would recommend to anybody.
