I'm utterly amazed that this man just doesn't differenciate between an ordinary rich western tourist and two hungry backpackers who just want to enjoy a simple meal and don't have 30-40 eur to spare in one of the other restaurant in the area. Of course, this reference is not going to change anything since this emotionless person will always have... More

This is the only restaurant in Bruges where you get your drinks in a can, ( if you want a glass, you pay 1€ more) ,and where you can eat a spaghetti for 4€ !! But the boss is a strange guy ( if you don't know him ) , and is very selective about letting tourists eat at his... More

I give it a three just because I cannot say anything about the food. We went there for luch at 2:30 pm on a monday and the ower rudely dispatched us, he first asked if we had made a reservation, I said no and then he told us that the kitchen was closed. However, I did notice that more than... More

Great tagliatelle carbonara. Simple food, great prices! Eat here when in Bruges! I can't recommend it enough. Cost less that 25 euros for four people. Quick tip - ring in advance to book. The owner speaks good English and apparently does not like walk-ins!

Maybe the food is good and cheap, but who wants to be made to feel like dirt for the sake of cheap pasta? Avoid this unpleasant and rude place and splash the extra couple of euros at eating at Pasta Presto opposite where they will also offer delicious bolognese and with good service. Don't subsidise this obnoxious man's lifestyle until... More

I went in early in the day to request a dinner reservation. First he pretended he didn't speak English, I think for the benefit and entertainment of a handful of his friends that were in the restaurant. Then he admitted he did speak English, what did I want (what did he think I wanted, I wondered?), so I politely asked... More

Glad to have had this recommendation from Rick Steves, and lucky for me the restaurant had just reopened that day, after having been closed for some remodeling. I got the big plate (not "huge," but was still a huge portion), of hot, meaty spaghetti for only 3 euros and it so didn't disappoint! The sauce was great. I also dined... More

We found this joint in the rick steves book, and would definitely recommend it. It had a nice family feel and was swarmed with locals when we went. A block of off market street and 4 euros for a huge bowl of spaghetti and a 1.50 euro beer you really can't go wrong.

I read about this restaurant on Trip Advisor before going to Bruges and so I knew I wanted to go there. It was great! Just as described on TA. The spaghetti was really good. We ordered the small portion but it was a lot of food! Good price on beer too. A lot of locals eat here so fun atmosphere.... More

Was determined to try this restaurant after being turned away on my previous visit a few years ago, granted he WAS PACKED OUT then and very busy. Cheapest and probably the best Spag Bol in Bruges, and just a stone's throw from the main square. Beer is 1.5 euro, spag bol 4 euro or 6.5 euro for large. The restaurant... More
