Poor service

Poor service. Totally ignored. Our server was an order taker. Nothing more. Drinks and first course came out smoothly, but then had to wait one hour for entre. We ordered bottle of wine which server delivered to table un opened in ice bucket. She never returned to open or pour. After 20 minutes we... read more

Lovely little restaurant near the main square. Was recommended and reserved by our hotel (Dukes Palace) and we weren't disappointed. Nice atmosphere on the Friday night (Valentines weekend). Had the chateubriand – gorgeous!

I booked this restaurant on recommendation from the hotel where we were staying for Valentines weekend. Out of about 5 or 6 this seemed the most relaxed - well I was right - it took three hours to bring our starters - we had no apology, not even someone come over and explain why it took so long. Once the... More

Just a short stroll from the main square is this little restaurant. The look and feel is very Belgium ans slightly dated but the service is excellent and the food even better. We tried the local beer (something Zott?) and the bouillabaisse and a chicken vol au vent- both fabulous. Would highly recommend this place...we spent £60 for 2. 5*

Me and my girlfriend took the menu with 1/2 lobster, Irish rib-eye and moelleux for 39.50 euros. The lobster was nice, but the sauce was super delicious. The rib-eye was soft and full of flavour. The only downside was the dessert, because the moelleux wasn't available anymore. They should have said it before we ordered the menu. In place we... More

We had a fairly large group go here for a business dinner. The food was excellent, delivered hot and well presented. Service was slow at times. Took a while to get help with a wine selection and to bring the beverages to the table. More attentive service could easy take this to a five.

We ate lunch here on New Year’s Eve. It looks and feels like a typical French Brasserie (which is a good thing!) as does the menu – with a few Belgian twists. We chose starters of marrowbone with toast and grilled langoustines. Both were generously portioned and excellent. We followed these with sole and the bouillabaisse. The sole dish comprised... More

This Parisian-style "brasserie" has good food and a charming interior but these qualities are offset by the incredibly rude service of a 30-ish waiter with receding black hair, who apparently believes rudeness is a plus. Anyhow, having to wait almost two hours for your food is not.

We ate in this restaurant on a recommendation from our hotel. Unfortunately the service was really bad and ruined the experience despite the food being good. We waited 20mins before even getting our drinks menu and the staff were totally disinterested in us throughout. We noticed a couple next to us had a less frosty experience giving us the impression... Second New Year's Eve dinner and excellent again. Staff are very friendly, the Sylvester menu was excellent again. Good quality wines were served plenty with the menu. Definitely recommendable.
