We first visited Bittersweet a couple of years ago when we visited Bruges. That was my first introduction to the chocolate tulip, and I have never forgotten it. When we visited Bruges again with friends, we just had to take them to this very special little cafe. It was very busy, and we had to wait for a table for... More

I have been here twice for hot chocolate, which is gorgeous. As we got up late and missed breakfast decided to go for lunch, it was delicious. I had a salad followed by lasagne, my husband had onion soup followed by chicken pasta, everything was excellent, really tasty. The lady owner is lovely and friendly and makes you feel very... More

Had a lovely breakfast here, and had the infamous chocolate tulip. Great attention to detail and fantastic rhubarb jam.

I have met Liesbeth and Frederic back in June this year when tried their amazing pancakes. I am quite fussy about pancakes and always was the best amongst family and friends to make them. But Frederic’s creation is a way better and I really enjoyed it so much that visiting Brugge again 2 weeks ago I brought my friends with... More

Called in for here with my partner, I had a cappuccino Vienna and he had a white chocolate hot chocolate, both were delicious! We also enjoyed some toastie style sandwiches which were very good. The service was very friendly, the owner clearly enjoys what she does!

This is a little place not far from Markt. The lady who works there is very friendly and attentive. The food is great and the hot chocolate is to die for. This comes as a glass of hot milk and an ornate tulip made out of chocolate that you drop in the milk and allow to melt. I had the... More

We came across this on trip advisor and decided to give it a try. We were so glad we did the lady was so friendly and even gave us some free advocaat to have with our hot chocolates. You must try them they are amazing. I will certainly be returning at Christmas!

We had breakfast here yesterday and this morning. The owner is a lovely lady who was very chatty and friendly with all the customers so service was a bit slow but you could see that she was chatting to each table to make sure everyone was happy. We had the €13 breakfast which sounded expensive but included unlimited refills of... More
