Great quirky restaurant

Away from the tourist crowds on the east side of the city, but only 10 minutes walk to the center. Quirky interior with a comfortable homely feel to it. The restaurant is like being in your own front room, But it is filled with so many intresting things. nattilie welcomes you making you feel more at home. The menu is not large which is good. The food is well prepared, and the portions are very large, but who cares because it tastes so nice. Have a Poppy G&T it... More

Following reviews on Tripadvisor we decided to give this little gem a try and we were pleased that we did. Nathalie was extremely welcoming and ensured that we were comfortable. It is a small and intimate restaurant which has a lovely homely feel about it. The food was excellent. My partner had chosen eel, Nathalie checked that he was sure... More

Thanks to TA, I learned about Pro Deo and booked in advance by emailing the restaurant. This was our second visit to lovely Brugge (this time we stayed in Gent and visited Brugge on the train). Our dinner at Pro Deo was the perfect end to a lovely day visit to this picturesque town. We enjoyed an interesting 15 minute... More

"Please could I book a table for tonight?" No, fully booked. "Tomorrow night?" No, fully booked. "Tomorrow lunch?!" Yes. This place gets fully booked days in advance for a reason. On entering this restaurant you are greeted by a dark interior filled with antiques (including old musical instruments), nice music and a smiling hostess - very cosy and romantic. Perfect... More

This engaging little place was such a treat! A wonderful introduction to Bruges with it's traditional flair. Delicious! Everything was just superb and the (lovely) woman who greeted and served us just made us feel so welcome. This was truly a find. P.S. The scampi appetizer with fresh bread is over the top, as is the traditional beef stew.

We visited Pro deo on 1st May for my Dad's birthday which I had mentioned in a previous email when booking. We were welcomed and shown to our table, the restaurant was busy and has a lovely feel to it. The food and drinks were really lovely especially the Parmesan croquettes, Flemish stew with Apple sauce, the steaks and Dover... More

My husband and I booked a table before we arrived in Bruges. It's quite a long walk from the city, so if you've not booked it could be a long walk for nothing. You have been warned. We got lost trying to find it and arrived 40 minutes late. The chef immediately sent word from the kitchen that we were... More

We spent our last dinner in the beautiful city of Bruges here, and it was a perfect experience from the beginning till the end. The owner, Natalie, was very friendly and nice, helped us to choose some authentic dishes. Flamish stew with apple compote and fries was great, and came in a huge portion. The dessert, (Chocholate molleux) was like... More

Had a great evening meal here with friends. A little off the beaten track but nothing is that far in Bruges. Great friendly service and good menu. Good value - 50€ a head for two courses with wine. Very popular with the Brits.
