Had lunch and went back for dinner the next night. Great atmosphere, welcoming host and good Flemish food. The prawn croquettes are great. The tables are close but it is a tiny space and it makes for a cosy, friendly night out. Highly recommended

All of the meals I had in Brugges were amazing, and it was hard to decide which was the best but In Den Wittenkop certainly stood out amongst them. They serve a Moorish cauliflower soup before the starters arrive. I had the shrimp croquette to start, who knew cheese and fish worked so well! The mains of pork cheek stew... More

A small but very welcoming restaurant. Everything we ate was very tasty - we especially recommend the pork cheek. Very cheerful, very helpful staff. Worth booking to be sure of a place.

Great food in this restaurant. Small but cosy. Good, friendly service. best meal of our trip. Sea perch and Zeebrugge shrimps with mash was delicious.

We would not have found this unless the lovely Philippe from Chez Columbo hadn't taken to the door, introducing us to the co-owner before leaving us. They serve traditional Flemish food - we had pig cheeks, mussels and the sole with lemon (there were 4 of us)! We got talking to two women next to us who were back for... More

This is a small, but charming restaurant close to the centre of Bruges. The tables are rather close to each other, but I guess this is unavoidable when space is limited. The food was very good, although my wife thought the moules were a little bland. Service was also good. I would recommend In Den Wittenkop for a pleasant meal... More

Great, traditional Flemish restaurant. The woman serving is one of the owners (her husband does the cooking). Very good, friendly service. We all got something different from the menu and it was all very good. We actually had trouble choosing because everything on the menu sounded good! The atmosphere was very nice. The space was small but not cramped and... More

Pleasant atmosphere and service, good beer, but food mediocre and over-priced for what it was. The fish dish was ok. The pig cheeks stew was too heavy and needed fresh veg, not chips, which were nothing special. Very slow service.

My husband and I stumbled upon this little restaurant and were very pleasantly surprised. We were given a complimentary housemade tomato soup amuse bouche that was so perfect on a cool autumn evening. My fish was very good, as was the wine, the service, and the atmosphere. I would definitely go back next time I am in Bruges and I... More

Six of us went there on a Tuesday night. We got the last 6 seats and had a great meal, 2 had a fillet of fish and 4 had beef cheeks cooked in a Flemish stew. All the meals were very good, service was provided by the owner and was top shelf. This is a recommended restaurant to any visitor... More
