We enjoyed a delicious Flemish stew in this little bistro. We arrived quite late on a Friday evening, looking for somewhere reasonable priced to eat. We were pleased to find this bistro to the north of the markt. Food was well presented and very tasty. Service was friendly and although most places in brugge only serve bottled water..we were given... More

I wouldn't say it was an amazing place to go but def a nice break from a language barrier from travelling all week. Owner spoke english and was nice, though she seemed less than enthusiastic about serving us (hung over maybe?). Food was average but wifi was free so that was a plus.

Sloppy, expensive and just bad. The owner run at more like a hobby not a cafe and that did show. The only good thing is free wifi

I believe it is now The Cosy Bistro. Anyway, we only had drinks here, but it was very comfortable and the staff/owner were very nice. Wifi is good as well.

We wanted a vegetarian meal but with our choice not available, we opted for the fish. The food was cooked to order and it was fairly well executed. The flavours were just a bit bland, so not outstanding but very good for a decent bite to eat.

Great little place and nice location (away from big crowds, but not far), but nice the '60s has an American coffee place been open 11am till 10pm. Great wifi available, and friendly staff. Food is good and prices reasonable. But 11am? If they want Americans -and maybe they don't- they should open at 8 or 9. Just sayin.

It appears impossible to find a decent coffee in Bruges. The coffee in our hotel being utterly undrinkable, we went on a hunt for taste with strength and smoothness. Reviews appeared to promise that Bean around the world would satisfy. However, we were disappointed. Our cappuccinos appeared to be primarily composed of frothy milk. Even an extra shot didn't yield... More

Visited this on the basis of Trip Advisor recommendations and as I wanted somewhere away from the centre (which it is - it's around 15 mins walk outside of the centre of town - not a million miles away but far enough to get you some space). My other caveat - the 4 out of 5 is on the basis... More

Bruges seems to be full of all of the same sorts of places. This place is different. Although away from the tourist areas it is a very short walk away in a beautiful part of town and is a relaxed, cozy coffee shop. The perfect place to escape for a bit.

If you want a beautiful spot for a nice coffee, come to BATW. After walking around the tourist area it is nice to walk northeast of Markt where this shop is located and have a coffee in a quiet area that feels more like a real city. It is also on the way to seeing the windmills. A great stop.
