Lots of character, amazing food, good beer, great service - a must see!

This old tavern is a bit out of the way from the main tourist area, but worth the walk! I came here with my sweetie for a late lunch and beers (around 3pm) and were really pleased with our visit. All of the food was delicious, they have a good beer selection with fair prices, the service was... read more

Apparently the oldest pub in Bruges this has a huge beer garden which is great in the summer and they also offer the chance to play Boules whilst you sip your drink. Only loses a mark because it doesn't have the extensive beer menu that the likes of T'Bruges Beertje, De Garre and Rose Red have. Nevertheless, this is a... More

Such an interesting pub to visit and the beer selection is good. We sat in the beer garden and enjoyed a very pleasant time. So much history attached to this pub and although we didn't eat we could see that the food looked very good.

We came across the oldest cafe in Brugge on our self tour from guide book so stopped for drink. Reasonably priced Zot bier and hot chocolate. Would normally rate 4 star but gets a worthy 5 just for being 500 years old.

Went at lunch for their excellent spag bol. Solid beer list and old-fashioned decor. Look out for the stove.

We read reviews online before we went here, very interesting place full of character and history. Didn't have a full menu when we went but what we did have was very enjoyable. Wish I could have had a locally brewed beer but was driving😕 Coffee was also very good though.

Loved this great pub , been here many times great beers from Belgium, and a great garden to sit outside , and nice snacks , it's like a village pub in a town

We stumbled across this place by chance, and were delighted to discover it was an oak panelled gem of a place, with a 500 year history. Lots of quirky features, long wooden tables; just what we were looking for - somewhere atmospheric for a drink and a simple pub dinner.

Second time to Bruges and second time to this pub! Even though it seems to be famous for being the oldest bar in Bruges (1515!), it doesn't feel touristy at all. There's a nice terrace out back, which feels like a quiet enough spot to read a book - and a bustling enough spot to go with a group and... More
