Amazing

What a fantastic place. Friends and I went for a late lunch in this gorgeous pub. So full of history and good food. You can read up the lovely history of this pub (the oldest pub in Bruges) in the menu and on the place mats, whist admiring the decor. The food was absolutely delicious too! And... read more

Really enjoyed a few hours here - several beers and ports along with good local food in a relaxed atmosphere. Prompt service and good value for money.

Yes, that is their tagline. Since they just celebrated their 500th anniversary I can't argue with that. This is a very nice restaurant and bar with adornments that haven't changed much throughout the centuries. They had a decent beer selection though not the most extensive I've ever seen. I really enjoyed my salad with grilled shrimp too. They also have... More

This was really one of the highlights of our "beer-ing" in Bruges. The atmosphere is great and the staff helpful. We had the in house beer called "Vlissinghe" which you can only find there which was amazing. I definitely recommend this place!

Very atmospheric, would love to go when it's cold and they have the fire going! Our server was so nice, and talked to us quite a bit about the area! We didn't eat there and they have a rather small selection of beers but we highly recommend it!

I've visited bruges for a weekend with friends (French, German & Czech) and they absolutely loved this pub for its authenticity and rustic feel and look. I did as well, but loved it even more when I ordered the macaroni ham and cheese, as it treated just like my nan used to make. It was so pleasant to discover something... More

It is well worth the little walk out of the centre to visit this lovely, cosy pub. It is down a side street but quite easy to find. The entrance has some lovely old photos which really shows off the history of the building. The main bar is a big open room with a wonderful fireplace. There are long tables... More

A little difficult to find but once you do, you will not be disappointed. Very oldy worldy. We didn't eat as it was very busy but the food looked great.

We were lucky to be staying in a hotel (Bryghia) just across the canal from this fantastic bar / restaurant. 500 years of history and it doesn't look like its changed much at all. Has a lovely outside area as well but not on a damp December day. The inside is warm and cosy and the beer is great. Food... More

Dark, welcoming atmosphere in the main room, big open-air patio out back. Excellent beer and we also had an excellent twist on the French croque monsieur sandwich called the croque Hawaii (9.00 euros) which has a slice of pineapple on top. Friendly staff. A nice place to while away a couple of hours while marveling in the fact that the... More
