Great pub with even better beer and wine selection. Best part is mingling with locals and learning about the culture and history

This is a really lovely old pub and it has a large garden too with tables. We chose lasagne which was fine but not the best.. quite a long wait too. Lovely atmosphere though.

After a very long evening at this cafe, I tried to give some feedback to the manager/owner. Having had my money, he was totally indifferent to my opinion of the slow, chaotic and rude service that our party received. It seems that the staff takes his lead in customer relations. As several local parties were served before us, I wonder... More

This is a lovely venue off the main thoroughfares and with an enclosed garden to the rear. From the outset service was VERY slow with apparently only one poor waiter trying to deal with all the clientele. It took nearly an hour to get a second round of drinks and we were only able to get these after several entreaties.... More

The interior looks unchanged from 1515; the garden was restful. Good pasta & sandwiches. Great beer. Service a little slow.

This is supposedly the oldest pub in Bruges. Really cool atmosphere and it has that aura of antiquity. Old portraits on the wall, large old shaped (but clean) mirror, small bar area, group seating, etc. just like you would imagine a pub from the 1800s. There's also outdoor seating in a little garden area. My Belgian friend explained that the... More

Wandering beyond the central tourist area of Bruges does wonders for food quality and service. On a soggy late afternoon, I had the house beer and macaroni and cheese (tasty and filling) on a cold, wet and windy day, and was warmed by both the food and atmosphere. My wife had soup and a Belgian dubbel, both of which were... More

Here I tried only beers and coffee. This pub is the oldest in Brugge and it has a unique character, very charming and is frecuented for locals mostly. Very rare if we think this is supposed to be an attraction. They have a wide selection of beers and of course you will find some company for sharing a moment if... More

Spent our last evening in Brugge here. Wanted to check it out as it is the oldest pub in Brugge. It is back an alley, off the road, but easy to get to and can be seen from the road. This is a neighborhood pub and seemed to be a family favorite. Tables are family style and we had a... More

Spent yesterday evening and this afternoon in the beautiful sun trap of a garden ☀️ Lovely beer and a nice glass of cava. Selection of games to play, we played backgammon for hours. Had lasagne and cheese and pickles which were both lovely. Very reasonable price. Would definitely recommend.
