Our apartment was 10 steps away - we had no idea on arrival that this bar had such a great history. So what was so good? For a start it was January so the old coal stove was just wonderful. Then the resident Jack Russell laid on the armchair by the stove, this was when no one had ordered food... More

Great little pub with a relaxing but jolly atmosphere. We decided to stay and eat dinner and were god we did! The staff were lovely and the beers were reasonable. Board games were also available.

500-year-old pub. Small, friendly wood-panelled room. Wonderful atmosphere. Great way to cap off our weekend in Brugge.

This lovely cafe is a hidden gem away from most attractions in the centre of Brugge, it's nice to stop by for a lunch or drinks. The cafe has been there for 500 years! Food was nice, beer was great! Ambience was warm with medieval decor, we felt like we were guests in 16th century!

500 year old pub in Bruges, definitely worth a visit, just outside the centre of Bruges. My wife and I had lunch which was lovely, my wife being a vegetarian felt that their was an OK selection on the menu for her. You definitely need to stop here for at least a beer. The service was excellent, they have their... More

En route around our self guided walking tour we happened upon this pleasant an interesting watering hole. Medieval interior and friendly staff accompany great beer and snack food. Atmospheric and enjoyable worth a look in

Fantastic place, ever so slightly off the beaten track and all the better for it, bustling but not overcrowded. More of a pub than a cafe. Wonderful food, mixture of local dishes with pastas and toasted sandwiches too. Very reasonably priced. Great beer of course. Lovely staff and friendly little pub dog only enhance the whole experience. If you can't... More

Small, busy with range of locals and tourists, efficient rather than friendly. Didn't eat but beer range was good. Oldest hostelry in Bruges apparently.

Café Vlissinghe was a real find. We liked it so much we went there twice, once on the evening we found it, for a beer, and the next day for lunch. It is not it the middle of the tourist part of Bruges but it is near enough to be able to walk there in a few minutes from the... More

We went there twice. First on a Thursday when it was very quiet for a drink only, then at the week end when the place was packed. We wanted to eat and had to squeeze in between other customers at a long table. We soon started to make conversation with our neighbours. It is the oldest place in Bruges and... More
