My son and I wanted to dine here because it was recommended for their Waterzooi soup and Flemish stew. We had been out walking all day so we were in comfortable clothing and I noticed that others were dressed a bit more formally. The service started out slowly and then progressed to non existent with me seeking out someone to... More

Lovely restaurant. Good food and large operations. Beef stew is a must. The water zooi soup with fish is very good. Depending on the server, your dining experience could be good or bad. We have been here multiple times and will continue to do so. The waiters are hit and miss. A few have an arrogant and bad attitude. They... More

We sat in the rear courtyard which was fine. The tablecloths were crisp and clean. The service was slow but we weren't in a rush, the three waiters that we encountered were polite and helpful but the waitress was curt and verging on rude. The food was delicious, we all had the Waterzooi, 3 of the fish version, which had... More

Very nice atmosphere, but poor service. Decent food, with an emphasis on quantity over flavor. Portions were very large, enough to share. I would not recommend this place unless you are a big eater, and like rich food.

We went here after recommendations from friends and very much enjoyed the food. We wanted local traditional food so opted for rabbit and beef stew. I'd say the rabbit was the better of the two although both were delicious. We found both service and the atmosphere lovely although we did eat fairly early as we were unable to get a... More

We went to this restaurant having read other recommendations. It seemed authentic Belgian cuisine. Main meal portions too big ... Good beer. We were sat out the back in a covered area... Not quite the same atmosphere as the main area of the restaurant.

Visited this restaurant tonight - had been previously 4 years ago and thought we would visit again - thoroughly disappointed - staff surly and uninterested, beef stew over priced at 21 euros with unpleasant chips, flavoursome gravy but not worth the price! - this Vlamische pot does not give value for money - we left after one course and virtually... The restaurant was recommended by the owner of the B&B, and we found it fairly easily. The food is not expensive, especially as the portions are generous, but it's also far from cheap, and the wine is very expensive - €27 for the cheapest bottle, up to four figures! It's a tiny little place, but they have made use of... More

The food was ok, but nothing special given the generally very high standard of other restaurants in Brugge. The restaurant did have a nice ambiance and all the tables were full on the evening we were there. The waiters were rather indifferent but did manage to serve our table adequately. The table next to us had some complaints about their... More

Four of us went for the traditional Belgium stew option, which came with french fries (topped up when we ran out) for 21 euros (£19) each. The stew was very good, and the setting is cosy, but not a cheap option.
