Quaint little restaurant

Little restaurant hidden away. Really cute, you feel like you are walking into someones front room, although it does get bigger to the rear. Really sweet and the food was great but huge portions so beware!

Been a couple of times now. I love sitting out the back in the 'courtyard' where the bench is. Some quirky decor to go with it. Prompt service but they do stress that everything is fresh so you may have to wait a while. Friendly waiters up for some banter. It's tucked away off the main drag but not difficult... More

Lots of lovely traditional food in a beautifully niche little restaurant. I'd recommend trying to book in advance if you want to be sure of a table. My only word of warning is that the portions are huge - I wish I could have had a doggy bag.

Came here via a friend's recommendation and were not disappointed. Restaurant is easily missed as tucked away down a small alley but food was incredible. Must try the flemish beef stew.

We visited this hotel on recommendation of a local taxi driver in Bruges. We chose a set menu that featured the famous Flemish stew. The mussel soup was delicious and we were then served the stew in one pot shortly followed by endless amounts of chopped potatoes, not sure I should call them French fries! Too much food to enjoy... Recommended by the hotel, we were hoping to find a locals favourite. We found a small restaurant where the owner crammed in too many tables too close together making the room hot and claustrophobic We asked for bottled water to be told that this is not drinkable in Bruges. Not true! The bottle produced had €7 on it, what a... More

De Vlaamsche Pot is DELICIOUS! Recommended to me by my sister in law. The beef stew was remarkable and served with tasty applesauce! Unlike the Duke's Palace Hotel, they give you plenty of cheap water bottled locally. We also enjoyed some nice ice cream to top off the dinner. I would definitely recommend this restaurant, although the menu is a... More

The Flemish stew is well worth experiencing, but be prepared for a sweet taste which is not to everyone's taste. Adding the apple sauce makes a big difference and is well recommended as at least the Origin of the sweetness becomes clear. Although having had a local beer with the meal, the flavour clearly comes from this. The restaurant is... More

A good place to taste genuine Flemish cuisine. This coupled with very good service make the visit enjoyable.

Let's take it short: they are not cut for this business. They are still around just cause there are thousands of unaware tourists in such a jewel-like city. Food is average. Serving pans and plates are stuffed, as if someone from the kitchen just dump the food from the pot. You want to go for Flemish food? Plenty of better... More
