Classical music and fine beer - heaven!

I think I found my heaven. This little gem is tucked down a side street and easily missed. Fantastic selection of beers, great service and classical music playing at an agreeably comfortable volume. This is how the world should be. Wish id found it earlier in the night rather than the tourist trap... read more

During our visit to Brugge last Nov 2014 we visited the BB twice. The atmosphere is very pleasant, like a living room of one's grandfather and mother. The furniture is old and dated, but gives the place a unique feeling of coming home and feeling comfortable, even if you've never been there. The beer list is exquisite, and has a... More

When the Rough Guide says "aficionados reckon this is one of the best selections of beer in Belgium" you basically have to give it a try! How on earth you would research the "best selection of beer in Belgium" is mind-boggling, but never mind: it did not disappoint! Despite comments about "unfriendly" service of "too much on the backpacker's trail"... More

Although staff were not friendly or welcoming, service was admittedly professional and fast. Food was very tasty and generous and more importantly they offer many traditional beers. Overall, it is a traditional place that offers great food and a lively atmosphere. We would definitely visit again when in town.

Saw this pub listed and so glad we tried it, it is everything other people say. If you want to experience a Belgian pub, this has to be top of your list. The beers are listed in a huge catalogue so it is great fun going through it picking your next beer while sipping your first! It was great chatting... More

Quirky little bar, can get very busy but worth a visit when in Brugge as its really traditional style bar with lots of beer!

I'm not over exaggerating when I write this, in fact I've waited to write it for a while now following several visits. The atmosphere is warm, welcoming and comfortable as soon as you enter. The staff all have a good knowledge of the beer they serve and are happy to talk to you and recommend a drink you might like... More

We stumbled across this little bar as we wandered around Bruges. Inside it is rather snug and rustic, but with plenty of charm and character. When we arrived the place was busy, with a gentle hub-bub and felt a friendly place to spend a little time. We were greeted warmly as we made out way to a table, which was... More
