We chose here as highly recommended on TA, good choice of local beers and good food which was served quickly. Not sophisticated but well presented, tasty and filling. We had beer, 3 course menu all for about 80 euros (for 2 ). Best to book though as very popular.

Visited this place a few days ago. My wife and I had the 3 course set menu dinner for 34 euros (each). Aside from a slightly ropey creme brulee dessert the food was excellent, the highlight being the local speciality pig cheek stew in chocolate and beer sauce. Nice service and atmosphere in here too - a great little find.

When you go to Bruges, you surely want to have a nice meal in this beautiful city. Try this one, and you won't regret. The stewed pork was amazing, and cute swan like dessert was cute and delicious.

We almost missed experiencing this restaurant. We did not have reservations but got lucky and scored the only available table. We saw a number of people turned away politely. It is worth the trouble to make the reservations. I had rabbit and husband had a chicken pot pie. Both were delicious and attractively served. The server was attentive without fawning.... More

Having read previous reviews on Tripadvisor, we decided this was a suitable venue for the first night out of our anniversary weekend in Bruges. Luckily, we had booked a table for our Friday night visit at 8pm, as we noticed several parties politely turned away due to the restaurant being full. Our initial fears about the "menu of the day"... Just had a lovely meal here after a busy day walking around Bruges. Meal was excellent, well cooked, nicely served by two very competent waitresses (and the wine was good too). Would certainly recommend this restaurant for good food and ambience. We had not booked but went quite early so managed to get a table although some people who came... More

We had booked by phone for a day-trip visit to Bruges. Due to Eurotunnel delays we were over an hour late but they had kept our table at the rear of the restaurant. The staff were very friendly and spoke excellent English. The service was prompt but not rushed. As we had different requirements we could not take advantage of... More

We rather stumbled upon this one when another two places we had in mind were fully booked. It wasn't a disappointment! The food was excellent - Flemish rabbit stew was a plateful and then they brought half as much again in a separate bowl! It was cooked in beer and was rich and tasty. The others had a chicken pie... We popped in last evening, and were lucky to grab the last free table without making a reservation. Great friendly and fast service !!! The food was really top notch (pork cheeks stew pot with cherry beer and seasoned with cherries, sealed with fluffy pastry !!! - rabbit with prunes and beer sauce. - AMAZING quality ! One minor point:... More

You probably need to book or you could be disappointed. Very good friendly service. Delicious well presented food. My husband and I were staying in Bruges for a few days and this was recommended by our hoteliers. It was a lovely evening and I think I can say one of the best meals we have had in a long time..
