We were a party of 8 and made a reservation. Table was perfect being round, so it was easy to have cross table conversations. Food was excellent and service was attentive. I would go back and recommend this for people looking for good authentic Belgian cuisine.

Maybe it just happened to be closed the day we walked by... In any case, this place was the #2 recommendation on the list from our B&B owner. Yelp and TA made it sound amazing! But alas, after a peek in the window to see boxes stacked and chairs on tables...still a 3 since I'm sure it would have been... More

I regularly visit Bruges on business and always come here for a meal when in the city. A very pleasant restaurant, not too cramped, and wonderful food with sensible but not enormous portions. The restaurant has been run by the same family for nearly twenty years, with father doing the cooking and his two daughters serving. I look forward to... More

We went here after reading reviews and it was pleasant enough but not amazing. Yes it's a traditional brasserie with decent, reasonably priced food, however I have to say it's nothing to write home about. The portions are very large which is great, however we had 8 pig cheeks between 2 people and then were frowned at by our waitress... More

My family and I have been traveling in Belgium for several days and this was the first meal we all agreed was top notch. We made reservations and they were empty when we got there at 7:30. By 8:00 the upstairs was full. We just ordered entrees rather than the three course meals. The table next to us ordered the... More

After a long drive to brugge we googled for a local restaurant. Food was great and not too pricey. 3 course meal for 35 euros pp which had the specialties included as options. The bisque was delicious and the lamb very tender. My husband had the pork cheeks and it melted in your mouth. The way the food was served... More

We celebrated our son's 13th birthday in Bruges and made a reservation on Friday for Saturday night. Good thing because the restaurant was full. The meals and desserts were very good. I had sole pieces lightly battered and fried with sundries tomatoes and basil on pasta with a light sauce with fresh green onions...wonderful! The veal stew was a large... More

On our last night in Bruges we were lucky enough to find a table at Den Huzaar, a Bistrot style restaurant less than 5 minutes from the Grote Markt. This restaurant serves up great Bistrot style food..coq au vin, steak frites, carbonnade, waterzooi, along with a pasta entree and several fish dishes. It is noisy and not a place for... More

We have visited this several times over the years, great food, friendly staff.. although as a vegetarian I have limited choice from the menu.. but my husband loves the rabbit.. Its not cheap but much better value and better food than the restuarants around the square... worth a visit.. if only to see the beautiful presentation of the food.

My husband and I have been traveling through Europe for two weeks now, and we are used to slower more relaxed service that is customary in Europe, unlike the US. However, we sat for about 45 minutes with our finished plates of food waiting for them to be cleared. 4 tables that came in and ordered after us were cleared,... More
