We booked for a Saturday night based on the advice of our hotel. The menu is brief but certainly that's because it is based on whatever is fresh which we prefer. I had the sweetbreads which were excellently cooked. My wife had the fish which she enjoyed thoroughly. I believe it translated as brill. The atmosphere was great as was... More

Booking is just about essential at this small but just about perfect restaurant - every night we saw it full with locals who know a good thing when they see it. There are only about 20 covers and the menu is very short - even the a la carte only runs to two or three items each course; and for... More

It was a bit sad not to see this place full to bursting. We were the only couple in there at first, then another joined. This was actually our most memorable meal during our trip to Bruges and Ghent - and we ate really well. Presentation isn't the most polished - a bit rustic, really - but the taste was... More

We went here on the recommendation of the concierge and are so pleased we did! It is a small restaurant of around 20 covers in a converted townhouse in a quiet side street in Bruges. The house has been converted beautifully with exposed brickwork an open upper level and small bar. We dined as a family but would be a... More

I wanted to organise a special birthday dinner for my partner in romantic Bruges and after a recommendation from our hotel based on my likes and dislikes, I locked in Restaurant Couvert for a Saturday night the week prior to our arrival and we were delighted with the result! The restaurant is off the tourist map, but an easy walk... More

A gem of a restaurant in a relatively quiet street off city centre. Only 18 covers makes this bijou establishment comfortable with no piped music to irritate. Excellent food from husband and wife combination,
