We happened upon Tom's as it was less than 30 seconds from our B&B. the menu looked good and there was a welcoming bustle coming from inside so we were drawn in. The decor is lovely and there's a great use if space with a mezzanine above the main room. Rather than main meals we ordered a selection of dishes... More

It's a bit of a walk to get here and you need a map to guide you here. But it's definitely worth it, away from the usual tourist trap type of places. We can here for lunch and my wife had the vegetarian Toms diner pasta and I had the Grilled meat. Great food and ambience, we regretted not coming... More

As recommended by our landlord at our B&B, we found this small and a little out of the way place to be better than expected. The Presentation of the dishes were works of art and everyone's meal was fabulous. Our waitress was attentive and fun. Only wish we were here for another day so we could go back.

My wife and I ate at Tom's in 2007 while in Bruges and I wanted to return during our current visit. We arrived in town yesterday (Saturday) and when I mentioned Tom's to our innkeeper (the very helpful folks at Hotel Fevery), he suggested we go that night as it was closed on Sunday and Monday. He called and got... More

Went here last night with hubby for a special last night on holiday meal. The restaurant is away from the main tourist areas, so had more locals in which is always a good sign. Food was excellent, from the nibbles with our drinks, to the Thai curried mussels and my fish main, although hubby was less impressed with his choice... More

Our host recommended Tom's Diner to us and we are very grateful. The heat wave was in full force in late July but we still were willing to accept seating upstairs where the waiter very graciously served us . He had to run up and down the stairs but made the experience about us enjoying our meals and not running... More

Based on other tripadvisor reviews, we dined at Tom's Diner and ordered Meatloaf. (1) Thursday evening without advance reservation, so seated on 2nd floor. Unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on the perspective), we were in Bruges during their unusual heat wave and 2nd floor was noticeably warm. By the end of the meal, we were glad to leave to cool our... More

Enjoyed the mussels (in season) as a starter and the Flemish stew. The wine list was also terrific. Only negative was the heat in the upstairs loft. Service was helpful, efficient, and polite.

had read about this in Rick Steve's travel guide and decided to try it on our last night in Bruges. We got reservations through our hotel and I would strongly recommend having a reservation as the restaurant is small. The food was fabulous - I had the meatloaf which was amazing and I am not a meatloaf fan, usually. The... More

This place is definitely worth going to. We were skeptical about eating meatloaf in Bruges, but it really was amazing! Nice atmosphere, good staff; if in Bruges, make sure you visit!
