Absolutely faultless, well worth the wait and certainly worth making the effort to walk from our hotel. Heidi was a little reluctant to take our booking as previous residents at our hotel had not turned up. Fools! If only they knew what they were missing! Between the four of us we sampled the sardines, the herring, and the salmon for... More

We eat here on the first night of a three night stay in Bruges(our first visit) and the de schaar was a recommendation from the receptionist at our Hotel the Jan Brito. What a good recommendation, the meal, service and atmosphere was excellent.I had the rib eye steak and my wife had the salmon, we were going to go a... More

We arrived at a b&b down the street from this restaurant and our host recommended eating here as we were late and didn't have reservations. How lucky we were. This was a lovely place to eat. Quaint romantic atmosphere. wonderful drinks and the food was fresh and oh so tasty! prices were reasonable too. A great stop, Will visit again.

Stopped here for dinner, they were just opening. We ordered a king prawn and pasta dish and a rack of lamb and veggies, both we're amazing, would definitely go there again

Our group of three had different menu elections and we agreed that each was beautifully cooked and nicely presented. The meats were tender and I must say that the profiteroles were possibly the best I have ever had. Maybe it was the chocolate? We decided to try the Chilean Carménère wine and it looked like the best value selection, and... More

Lovely restaurant, slightly away from the main centre of Bruges. The meal was excellent in every way imaginable and paired with a great wine. We usually only opt for 2 courses but could not resist going for the 3rd on this occassion! We fully recommend this restaurant for anyone who loves great food in a lovely setting.

This place is a few minutes walk out of the center of town but well worth it. it is a quaint restaurant, very small downstairs, although there looked to be another small room upstairs. The beers that we had were fantastic. The portions were just right and the food was delicious and aesthetically served. It is a quiet atmosphere, which... More

There are a number of restaurants in Bruges which use this open-fire method of cooking (there's even a very good one on the next corner of the same street - called In't Nieuw Museum) but this place has got to be the best. It might be a little difficult to find but persevere. We watched our steaks being cooked and... More

chef prepares everything fresh on the grill in plain view. All very tasty and good value for money. Be on time to ensure to get a table, restaurant is rather small.
