We sat outside the restaurant and a very friendly chap was eager to take our order, the place was busy. After 10 minutes our food arrived, it looked good on the plates and the portions were good. If you want to eat at a white table cloth restaurant you are going to pay for it! This is a great place... More

Got there around afternoon. A guy was just arranging some chairs and tables on the street. I asked him in English if I can take a place and he said yes. I waited and waited. Around me some other local guys got a seat and the order was taken quite fast. Meanwhile they looked at me, but they never came... More

Nice food and really cheap, rudimentary yet cosy: a typical place for uni students to eat and hang out. Price range is from 3 euros for a bowl of soup to 12 euros for chowders. Some people might be offset by things like drinks being served in plastic cups, or a roll of paper towel on each table that serves... More

I'm sorry but I really didn't like the food. The farfalle were overcooked, the chicken and curry sauce looked and tasted like something that came out of a tin. To give it the semblance of freshness they sprinkled a touch of curry powder on top of it. That's as far as their creativity goes. Oh and they have paper towel... More

although no longer a student, I went there with my friends during the week for lunch (not open in WE). great price/quality level. we had a wrap with chicken (lots of meat and vegetables, good sauce) for 4,5 euros! we had dinner outside under the trees. nothing fancy but honest kitchen with a certain charm. too bad I have to... You can get all sorts of food there and it's actually quite good. The prices are average. Beware, because you can't make reservations and students love to come here. It's a nice place to come with friends, certainly because of it's location. There's close to no traffic passing by and you can sit outdoors and enjoy the nice weather. The... More

Since De Werf is not on the main squares, it tends to go unnoticed by visitors. That's a pity, as it has great atmosphere and good meals for an even better price. Expect to find many students catching up, that is until the end of June. Given it's large student clientele, the place tends to close when the students leave:... More

I have been to this place several times and I liked it a lot. It has a lot of tables outside and a nice atmosphere. The staff is friendly and quite fast. The pastas are nice, the desserts not so much as it is said, and it could be a little bit cheaper... Although, I will go again for sure!

I will come right out and say it: I admit my knowledge of the menu is limited to drinks and desserts. It's a lovely no nonsense, laid-back place for late night drinks with a little sweetness on the side. Whenever I look for a place to go with a friend to have some chocolate mousse or petit-beurre cake or ice... More

usually one eats tomatosoup with meatballs in Belgium, however in this little restaurant it's possible to have every little child's dream: wait for it..., wait for it..., yes you guessed quite right, meatballs with tomatosoup. Basically a large serving of meatballs with a little bit of soup over the top.
