We had a very good lunch there today. The portions are medium size, but ideal portions for a lunch. We had lunch for 2. Starter was a salmon tartare with some fresh asparagus sprouts, a lemon flavored pesto and blueberries. Very original and tasty combination. The main dish was a pork roast with a... read more

Our son is studying in Leuven and wants to remain in Leuven during the exam period. So the most efficient and least time-consuming way for keeping in touch on a regular basis is to have dinner say once weekly in Leuven. We have been testing several restaurants and have been disappointed nearly every time. So we are happy to have... More

Le Chameau is not your typical Leuven restaurant. It's a bit more expensive and the choice of food is limited to about 6 starters and 6 main courses. However, the quality of the food, the atmosphere in the restaurant, the open kitchen and the very nice service make this restaurant one of the better ones in Leuven. I can definitely... More

Leuven has a hundrets of restaurants, so it is not easy to be sure if this one is that you are looking for. However I would like to recomend the place. It is a quite small restaurant with a several places. Only two guys serve, but they are good, fast and correct. I have got for starter Krab & avocado... More

The restaurant has a very good reputation but personally I didn't like it. The food is too expensive (count 60 EUR per person for the menu with beverages) for the quality they offer. The food they offer is just a mixed of different tastes that often don't fit together. The restaurant is made to impress with design but food is... More

Another great option if you want a fine dining experience for a good value price! They offer several starters, entrees and desserts which you can put into a 3 course menu. For some of the courses, you'll pay extra (eg if they use foie gras, etc). There's no terrace, which is a downside, and the plastic chairs are a little... More

Excellent food, good service, nice atmospere. We had try a few times before we got in, but it was definitely worth the wait. One the few places in Leuven that serves excellent food at affordable prices.

Small restaurant. Nicely decorated and cool transparent chairs. The kitchen is an open kitchen in the already small dining room. It causes some noise, but, more annoying, a smell. And when I am eating my dessert, I don't want the distinct smell of shallots from someone else's onglet that's being prepared. They offer a three course meal at €35, which... More

With only ten tables to serve, the whole restaurant is ran by two persons. You can see the cook (1) doing his magic as you sit at your table and you are always served with great kindness by the same waiter. It is really one of my favorite restaurants in Leuven, with a fixed lunch at a bargain and a... More
