Ideal if you want to have your classics such as grey shrimp croquettes and Flemish beef stew. On a rainy Saturday afternoon this was the only place that was sold out with old skool senior Leuven citizens. And for good reason. Service was very good despite obvious overload.

Simply You get what you pay for. Decent restaurant, we were in 5+baby. Ok soups (nothing excellent but enjoyable) good fish (tried salmon and monk fish, both fresh, tasty and not overkilled with dressing) decent meet (lamb was tender, and cooked as asked, rabbit was a bit dry). With beers and water was around 35€pp. Service was good, polite and... More

Depressing decor, rushed greeting and seating and tasteless, overcooked food. Only good thing about this place was that having complained about the food, we were quickly offered the choice to order something else or simply pay for the drinks - we chose the latter and left.

This restaurant has a great classy atmosphere. The waiters are among the friendliest I have ever seen (but they do tend to forget/mix up orders sometimes). The food is generally great.

This place serves solid, well executed traditional Belgian food in a pretty touristy area. The lunch menu is very good value at 18 euro for three courses, but what really sets this restaurant apart is the quality of the service, even in dealing with the dietary demands of my pregnant coeliac friend and our general apathy towards leaving the cosy... If you wish to try real, traditional Belgian food, this is the place in Leuven! You can choose between veal rognons, eel in green, skate with capers, or carbonnades: all are delicious!

Lovely building, beautifully decorated for Christman. Very kind waiters who had no problem talking Dutch, French and English with me and the people in my company. They were kind and made some jokes which was appreciated. Also they took their time, no rushing you out of the restaurant :) The food was truly excellent. The portions were large.

One of the few restaurants that remain open while all the others close their kitchens between 3 and 5 p.m. Always nice waiters, who work hard and serve you as fast as they can. A bit pricey, but the quality is worth it.
