We had heard fantastic reviews about this place, and we were so excited to spend a Friday evening here. At first we were impressed with the building, we had a great table on the top floor, however the service (although friendly) was incredibly slow, the food was nothing special whatsoever. We ordered 6 different meals between the 4 of us,... More

I had a really enjoyable time at Pakhuis. It is down a quiet alley and has very nice atmosphere inside. I loved the decor, it was well lit but still soft and inviting. I arrived before dinner began but the staff was very accommodating with offering to seat me in the bar for a drink until the table was ready.... More

We came here after reading the reviews. But my soup was only luke warm, the chicken filet also on the dessert was flat in taste. Worst of all, prices are quite high. 26 euro for a chicken filet on rice??

After some less-memorable meals in Ghent we were encouraged to try the Pakhuis. A challenge to find but patience is rewarded with an energised and happening restaurant. Great atmosphere and excellent food coupled with a good selection of wine and beers, and great service. This was the best seafood we have had in Belgium and the lobster is especially good.... More

Nice old building, possibly a little noisy for some tastes, but my colleague and I were able to have a good discussion without raising our voices. Food - well where to start....menu offered a range of dishes from the familiar to the interesting.if I judge them by my two dishes - wow. The grilled Lobster......oh man the grilled lobster.....oh gosh.... More

Find the Pakhuis is half the fun, hidden away in an alley behind a Benetton shop, in sight of the 3 towers of Ghent, you enter via a revolving door and the elegance of the place hits you, and right away you know the food and service will be excellent. And so it proves to be, the menu can be... More

It can be a bit noisy at lunch time (and more noisy in the evenings), I like the nicely decorated building and the knowledgeable friendly staff I always like the lunches (but sometimes you have to be in time or confirme it while reserving your table to have the lunch of the day). A la carte you also have a... More

Het Pakhuis in Ghent I went with my dad to see his new bureau in Ghent and we would have lunch together. He already reserved a very popular restaurant in Ghent, het Pakhuis. I was really hungry and we went their by one o’clock. When we entered the restaurant I was overwhelmed by the beauty and the originality of the... More

This restaurant is located in the center of Gent and was in earlier days a wharehouse. The food is good and they have a very good variety. Very busy and you have to make reservations. We were there with the Interio fair and many people were sent away, because no reservation, no seats. Waiters need a high attention to their... More

Down a side street to Pakhuis on a wet Monday night. What a surprise to enter a full restaurant with a pleasant ambience. Service was pleasant and prompt, the old warehouse an interesting venue. The food was fine, I had steak and scallops to start, my friend had pâté and kidneys. Wine fine, nice evening.
