My wife and I were here with a convention group of 60 persons. This restaurant is located in a well renovated warehouse and is on two levels and very open. Hence the noise level is high. This is the trend nowadays where ambiance means noise but for such a group outing can be fun. (for some but not all). The... More

Well, we were here with a group of 12. The interior looks great as it is an old warehouse. The disadvantage is, that there is a lot of noise, as the acoustic is not that great in an big open space as this. They should think about sound absorption. Food: well, not very convincing. Small portions, but also very, very... More

I was with my family on the way to our place in the alps and instead of going the full way in one day we decided to stop off in Ghent for the night. One of my dads friends had suggested Pakhuis so we decided to go. When we arrived there we were greeted by friendly staff who showed us... More

The interior is impressive but the food is not that great. For the money spent I would like to have something more delicious.

We visit Ghent every August (trade show at the local expo) and we always visit the Packhuis. Its always busy and has a great atmosphere and buzz. It has a nice bar area where you can have a glass of champers whilst perusing the menu - it also has a lovely ourdoor seating area. Dont be put off by the... More

had enquired about coeliac restrictions for my wife and these were catered for - the wine was superb and the food - my wife had fish and myself steak - also great - its a little pricey but because of the unusual location within an old disused warehouse - its quirkeyness is worth seeing - also you MUST book we... This restaurant is situated into an old warehouse. it has been refurbished in a magnificent way and now it also has an original terrace outside. Anyone who enters this facility is thoroughly impressed, and they should be. it's truly amazing. The food was not bad, but I would have liked it to have more taste. it seemed as if the... More

Pakhuis had been recommended to us by a local "foodie", so we were excited to have dinner there. Because we did not make a reservation, our first attempt to eat there was denied, but we make a reservation for the next evening. It was definitely worth the effort to find the restaurant and to make a reservation in advance. The... More

I visited the Pakhuis with an associate last summer. The hostess was firm and abrupt, and my associate was put off but I encouraged him to sit and have a beer while they readied our table, which they said would be an hour. They brought us menus and asked us to order even though they told us we could not... More
