Nice and staff is clear We serve slow food

Nice Resturant and the senior captain is nice and so clear, a clear sign on the Resturant facade stating that "slow food". So don't try to disturb or push him. But they serve nice fish, but no Halal food "meat and chicken" is served.

Food spot on - staff friendly - spoken languages were Flemish, Dutch, German, French and English. If you don't eat massive meals don't have a starter. The deserts are sublime.

We enjoyed a very leisurely lunch here during our visit to Ghent. The location is good--on a side street not from from Ghent's central square. The ambience of the restaurant is superb. The restaurant is housed in a former textile factory; it's large with two floors and beautiful details in the bar area and dining room. Although it's an old... More

A picturesque setting in an old warehouse and a very clever use of a beautiful but noisy place is not enough. Food is not bad but overpriced. I cannot understand why it is so trendy that without reservation you can hardly get a seat even on a weekday.

Wow - what a place! The building is incredible - and, for a restaurant, enormous. Friendly staff, and the food was reasonable, but just far too big for us. Not helped by the fact that we rang to book, but when we arrived there was no trace of our reservation.

The Pakhuis is right in the middle of Gent. Good food. Good wine. Lovely, unique surroundings. Last time we went was for New Year's Eve dinner - as a group of 4 (2 x couples). Took the New Year's Complete Menu. Food was delicious and beautifully presented! Such a classy place, but not stiff. Service was great. Coped well with... More

We went as a group of 3. What I kove the most was the environment and decoration, it used to be an old warehouse . The staff were super friendly and the food was on the table very fast. I had the steak which was made to my taste. Served with a very delicious salad and ofcourse fries ! The... More

Beautiful old converted warehouse - we had a lovely table overlooking the restaurant. Great food - reasonable portions, my salmon was cooked perfectly (medium, on the rare side) and service was great - very friendly. Highly recommended :)

Five of us rolled up without reservation early on a busy Saturday evening, were told there was a table available till 9 pm and in fact that was time enough for three unhurried courses and we were done by 8.50. Service was friendly and efficient; we didn't feel we were being rushed. Open-plan layout on two floors of a converted... More

We called on recommendation from a friend who lives and works in Ghent. We decided to take a day trip from Brusells, and boy, am I glad we did. The restaurant is a converted warehouse on the waterfront, and difficult to find down a small side alley. Take the tram to Korenmarkt, and it's on the alleyway behind McDonalds. We... More
