this is a small place to seat for a nice beer or to eat, they speak English, french and Germany if needed. food if you keep simple is very good, special the fish ones. you are very close to the water and the location is good against the wind with happens often in the region.

My wife and I had lunch here on a Sunday, after trying to get a table the previous night for dinner and being told flat out that there was no available table. We were not even told to try again after 30 minutes or an hour. Upon entering for lunch, we asked the waitress whether there was an available table... More

Decent food, like you can expect from an ordinary 'brasserie'. Nice touch: great selection of bears as well as their own 3 house beers that are nice. The food is simple, yet tasty and ideal for a fast bite in some historic building. Friendly and fast service.

Really lovely place serving all the traditional Flemish dishes as well a good choice of others. Located right on the canal next to a great bar with a choice of hundreds of Belgian beers. Great night out!

The food here is excellent, the mussels were the best! But don't go here if you're in a hurry...The service was slow, but very friendly! Very reasonable prices, we went back for lunch on the terrace, which was equally good!

We ate here on a Friday night in the beginning of May. Our waitress spoke very little English, and was very slow- though she was working up and downstairs seemingly by herself. The food was good, but didn't blow our minds. The setting was comfortable, though not particularly nice or romantic. It was a decent experience of the local cuisine,... More

Firstly, the food here is good. The waterzooi was tasty and VERY filling and my stew was excellent. .....good choice of beers too. The service was nice but VERY slow ad they seem to be chronically understaffed.....you really should not come here if you want to eat in less than an hour or hava a train to catch. A friendly... Been there for a dinner. We had traditional pork stew in dark beer, which was very nice, yummy and balanced and entrecote, which was just fine. Potato fries were cut thinly, be aware (but we like them this way), but u can also order potato croquettes. Beer is served by nearby beer house, as already was written, so selection is... More
