I am ashamed to say it's taken me 11 years to eat here. Dang, missed out on some good eating! Easy to make an on-line reservation, great start. Easy to find the place. Inside is enourmous, plenty of seating! Staff speak English, although the menu was in Flemish. But you should be able to handle that w/o difficulty, it's a... More

Great place to grab some all-you-can-eat ribs for €17. This place is packed quickly with locals (it opens at 6.30pm) so it's best to get here early if you are in Ghent for the evening. The waterzooi (the local chicken soup) is fantastic as well but most people go for the ribs. Avoid the tourist traps - eat here.

If you like ribs, you're going to love Amadeus. There are several Gent locations. The Patershol Amadeus is big, festive and fun. There's an entire room with wall to wall books, a fireplace in every room and music, people and fantastic aromas. The "centrum" Amadeus is smaller, more crowded but the food is just as good. Little Amadeus is about... More

We found this place by accident back in 2008, and we have returned every time we've been back to Ghent. The 'Ribs A volante' will be a meal you never forget. Meaty, juicy and they just keep coming! The jacket potatoes served with the most gorgeous spicy butter are the perfect accompaniment to these ribs. Throughout the meal the staff... More

I had heard so much about this overhyped rib place and was extremely disappointed in every aspect. the ribs were stringy and tough the service was non-existent and the drink selection was ridiculously slim. ribs and beer in Bruges Belgium is what you want.

I visited Amadeus for a second time just before christmas. This time taking the whole family. Luckily its easy to book via email and I booked well in advance. Again it was a perfect evening. The place is always packed and buzzing. I had built up the ribs to the rest of my family following my last visit and they... More

Although this restaurant chain has a good reputation, don't go here if you want quality all-you-can-eat ribs. They make you finish your visit in 2 hours. When you order more than 4-5 ribs (granted, that's a lot, but it's all you can eat), they sometimes give you undercooked ribs to make you stop eating. The interior of the restaurants is... More

Ribs are incredible - but whats best - the suprise curry butter potato!!! Wow, it was amazing. All locals pretty much which I liked and generally a great vibe, Bustling and busy and clearly very popular. I would recommend booking!

Visited here with my partner in the evening on New Years Day and we were not disappointed! Arrived just after six and had no problems getting a table. Best to book, but if you haven’t, get there early to make sure you get a table. The restaurant is an experience in itself – beautifully decorated, lots to look at and... More

Managed to get in without a booking on 30th December and very grateful we were too. We had the ribs - what else? - and they were very good as usual. (We've been to this one a few times, plus Antwerp and the other restaurant in Gent) Pricing is very good, the ambience is great, the staff are brilliant. This... More
