Came here a couple years ago for my birthday and it was incredible. Did another overnight in Ghent and decided to try it again, this time with my 9yr son. They have a very small, expensive menu and no kids' menu or portions, so I don't recommend taking your children unless they're up for some interesting and excellent food. The... More

Location and service are exquisite. Get a window seat if you can and look out onto one of the loveliest old cityscapes in Europe. Food was terrific, although I wasn't so sure about the scallop carpaccio. But then, I think I may be going off carpaccio altogether. The wine was marvellous and the service - always so important - was... More

The room is elegant, the service attentive. But the food - we had hare - magnificent. It was tasty, but more than that, sophisticated. Beautiful meat and a rich rich sauce. I have dined in most places around the world and in recent years can only compare this for quality with the Fat Duck at Bray in England. What skill... More

Lunch menu 21.90. Three courses menu in a delicious environment (seems very luxurious). Tremendous quality/price ratio, considering that a course for dinner costs from 20-30euros. Go for lunch!

I was there with a group of 10. The service and the meal were excellent. I don't know about the price as I did not pick up the check but I suspect that it was high. The restaurant is located on a canal with excellent view of very classical, old architecture. I hope to return when I am in Ghent... More

a glass of the house champagne served in proper champagne glasses cheered us straight away. It became rapidly clear that Eddie knows what he's doing: excellent service, great knowledge of the various dishes, its ingredients and preparation. The hare (pink and full of flavour) and its accompanying sauce poivrade (beautiful shiny consistency) were sensationally good, washed down with Eddie's brilliant... More

Allegro Moderato was EXCEPTIONAL! Our host, Max, was great and offered us impeccable service and suggestions! The food was great as we opted for the four course meal and also had a bottle of wine to go with dinner! Excellent. We had a table by the window overlooking the canal and it was breathtaking! This restaurant is wonderful for any... More

Upscale atmosphere with food that borders "haute quisine" in a historic building. Went here for my mom's 50th birthday, absolutely worth the price tag.

Not worth going there... Tourist food that is terrible. A great view on Ghent. In the city center...
