Their waffles were fine, but after spending €26 I feel like they should be willing to provide me a glass of tap water after the meal ended (I had already purchased €4 of water for the actual course). Grumble grumble Europe grumble.

Hungry for a lunch we were looking for a place to eat (there are so many in Ghent :D) Although not very visible we found Agrea on a corner. The staff is very friendly and helpfull. Also, the free wifi is handy. We had the sandwiches which we could choose are own fillings. And we had the famous Belgium waffle... More

I stopped in here on a rainy day and took my partner back on the next. Fantastic cherry waffles and great coffee! It's a nice little spot directly across from some main tourist sites, reasonably priced given the location. Great service, as well!

We went to visit Ghent. At noon we wanted to have lunch at the Agrea. We ordered a meat sandwich with fried egg and veggies and a sandwich with Bolognese sauce. Because we could see in the plates of the other guests that there were only a little vegetables with it, we ordered an extra side disch with vegetables for... More

Great and fast service. The best Brussels type of waffles with Fresh Belgian Strawberries and whipped cream. The staff speak many languages ... even Japanese and are always nice to the customers! I love the atmosphere in Agrea with the mix of locals and tourists. Everyone are always having a good time here with the good talks&drinks&food! Highly Recommended very... More

What a pleasant surprise to wander in to Agrea near the cathedral where we had just viewed the Ghent altarpiece. We had hot chocolate, sandwiches and a very good waffle with delicious strawberries. All were very tasty. The owner and her husband were very friendly and we enjoyed getting to know them a little.

Reviewed Trip Advisor before visiting Ghent for simple brasserie-style establishments and the Brasserie Agrea was the one that stood out. Situated close to St.Bavo’s Cathedral it did not disappoint. It is run by very pleasant staff, open daily at lunchtime, and the food was served promptly. I tried a mushroom omelette, which was very tasty and served with a glass... More

Dear all, although there is nothing wrong with the food in this coffee/breakfast place. It is way to expensive for what you get. You might want to go somewhere else: tastier and cheaper.
