Lovely lunch.

Pleasant and helpful staff. I had the goats cheese salad with bacon, most delicious. Husband had the traditional chicken and veg soup/stew Waterzooi, said it was fab. Although not set on the river, located in a pleasant square with views of the lovely old buildings and churches.

This restaurant is pleasantly located next to the cathedral in the centre of Ghent. It has a large outside terraced area. It is positioned in a line of restaurants in what is obviously a popular area for tourists. We both ordered a different salad for lunch both of which were of very good quality. Reasonably priced and good service a... More

Another great TA recommend just yards from our hotel: my wife and me popped in for a late lunch during the first day of a short break. I had the Waterzooi ( speciality chicken and veg soup of the region) and my wife had the goats cheese salad; Trappist beer washed both down. Waterzooi was lovely, bursting with flavour and... More

We booked with a rather large group, and were served very swiftly. We especially came for the mussels, but also some other dishes which were well prepared. The Bridge is a nice and decent place to eat in the centre of Ghent.

Excellent mussels, in season obviously. Also other local dishes of good quality and taste. Good portions also, not too little, not too much either. Recommendation for locals and visitors

Went there, In May, because they are supposed to serve very good mussels. Mussels were extremely small and dry, not good at all. Apparently May is not the right season, and while all other restaurants do not serve mussels if quality is not good, the Bridge served us a plate of very expensive and really not good mussels. Ok -... More

One of the few places open for dinner on a Monday evening in Gent. Had an early dinner here. Sat overlooking the square, it has a nice location. The carbonnade was tasty, though a little cold. Good beer selection and decent frittes, can't really complain about that!

When visiting the Bridge I myself ordered a 'Gentse Stoverij', a local speciallity which was decent enough. My girlfriend however had a chicken breast which was absolutely tasteless. Shame really when you pay 20euro's for a meal and you could have done a better job at home. Had a nice time nevertheless. The service was good, nice location, the sun... More

I am on holiday with my husband and young daughter in Gent and I must say having been for dinner and lunch here- we were impressed with both experiences. The staff here are fantastic, so charming and welcoming- you feel very relaxed dining here. It felt as though they couldn't do enough for us. The menu has a variety of... More

For such a touristy spot in an extreme tourist area plus being a die hard guest, I am ALWAYS pleasantly surprised at how good the food is & how nicely drinks are served! Service always finishes well. Top spot in Ghent!!
