My husband and I were attending a conference in Antwerp and we went to Ghent for the day. We ended up eating at The Bridge. We tried the local Belgium speciality, waterzooi. That's a chicken and vegetavle stew with just a bit of cream. It was great and now that we're home we are going to try to duplicate it.... More

Nothing could be more satisfying than having breakfast in a medieval environment. No argument with the waffle but it's to die for. The toilet is the only downside.

After visiting the cathedral, we had a quick lunch at Bridge. This was convenient since it is just across. We ordered lasagna which was good. The croque Monsieur was just ok. The open faced sandwich of minced beef and garnished with capers was weird. It is a pleasant place but our food was just ok.

Had traditional chicken stew here and tried Liefman's kriek, both of which were excellent. Great location.

We arrived with little time to spare before having to attend an afternoon concert at the Cathedral. We were quickly found a table and given a menu. By the time we had finished our aperitifs our main meals arrived and we were looked after closely during our visit. The food was simple but excellent ( two large plates of Moules... More

We sat outside for a beer in the sun, then returned later to enjoy waterzooi and beef stew. Both were delicious. Our waiter was very friendly and when we said we'd return to eat later he'd prepared a table for us inside where it was less busy. Location great, food tasty, service good.

A perfect location in the square. Lots of open seating. Great food value. Nice quiche, nice Vol o vent, good wine list.

Great atmosphere and tasty food. Try the moules frittes when in season! Friendly staff and good service. The menu offers simple good quality food, the bar offers a good variety of local beers as in most places in Ghent. One of my favorites!

Properly made steak tartare, pretty great. Shrimp and spaghetti with leeks and cream was great. Wife had spaghetti with bolognese which was good. Seems to over charge for water and drinks were a little pricey too. The place is charming with a great location, just not sure it drives that price point. There seems to be other restaurants in the... More

Food and service were not terrible, but not anything special either. The location is the best thing about the place, as it is centrally located. You could do worse but you could also do better. I had the vol-au-vent, which was pretty good, certainly better than my companion's mediocre pasta.
