We only managed to visit once, but were very impressed. Had the flemish stew (with apple compote), and the rabbit stew. Both excellent, and good sized portions. Very quiet night, but still a lovely atmosphere, really comfy seating in the window area. Staff were friendly, service was excellent, no complaints other than we were too full to manage a dessert!

We had lunch here on the recommendation of the owner of the tapestry shop up the street. It is quite a pretty restaurant inside, and the service was good. My husband had the local speciality "Waterzooi" which turned out to be a cross between chicken soup and stew. He thought that for 18 euros it wasn't worth it, but there... More

Service was extremely good and the food excellent. Not too many dishes but between the four of us and over 3 visits, we managed to try most and they were very, very good.

Pleasant interior and service was friendly. I just had to try the beef stew (reasonably priced) and it was as good as other reviewers have said. Also tried the shrimp croquettes for a starter but although they were tasty enough the price was ridiculously high so not to be repeated. Good selection of beers and generally a nice experience. But... More

We stopped for a drink lunchtime after climbing the clock tower. What we being served at lunch prompted us to return for our evening meal. We were not disappointed. We both had the traditional prawn croquettes for starters. My wife them had the Flemish stew and I had the stewed eels in the local sauce. A very enjoyable meal. Service... More

From the outside it looks dull but actually this is a nice place, pleasant service and classic ambiance and perfectly adequate food. The starters were ok, prawn croquettes especially nice (but not cheap) and the mains (vol-au-vent and pan-fried eel with tartare sauce) were very tasty indeed. Prices are on the steep side but overall quite a recommendable experience for... More

Ignore the outside - very bland and unappealing. If it hadn't been for reading the other reviews, we wouldn't have bothered. However, once inside the decor is much better and the staff very welcoming. Food was very good; particularly the Prawns Passion starter and the Belgian stew.

We spent six days in Ghent, so obviously we tried many restaurants. We declared our meal at Passion to be the best! Their Ghent specialties, the Carbonade Flamande and the Waterzooi, were terrific (We had tried these dishes at other restaurants too!) The wines and beers were also fine, and service was prompt and friendly. We can't comment on the... More

Just don't take the Irish rib eye and you will not be disappointed. The beef stew is the best that you can get in Ghent.

The beef stew is excellent. The prawn/scampi salad was good, could do with less dressing. Also had a taste of fried eel. Would order this next time. Apple cake was good. We were in Ghent for the day. Been to this restaurant before and would go again.
