The new location of Sang Hoon Degeimbre’s restaurant in Liernu is nothing short of amazing. In an entirely refurbished farm the cook and his team have found their new home...and what a home it has become! Sublime kitchen area, dining room made of different cosy rooms...great views on the adjacent gardens where many of the veg and herbs used in... More

A warm welcome on the phone, a very pleasant service. We were a family of 5, we had the 5 course menu : it was brilliant. We particularly appreciated the fish with the rhubarb sauce, the pigeon with the Korean bun and the strawberries with the lemon curd. We chose for the kids the floral waters and the wines for... Close to the highway, we had picked this restaurant for lunch. It was recommended by a friend, chef in another star restaurant in Belgium. We were welcomed by a very friendly staff, and the chef himself came to greet us. The cuisine is very healthy, based very much on vegetables that they grow themselves on the acres of land around... We experienced it twice at the previous location. Both experiences were extraordinary in terms of discovering new tastes, fusion cooking, and all the originality of the chef's cooking style. For the story, it was still a 1 star for our first experience and became a 2 stars right after, which is certainly not the reason why we visited it a... More

As a 2 star Restaurant one must look at the details when spending so much on food. The new location is so much more spacious than before and the cadre is now more up to the level of the Stars that the establishment has. It's not bad, but service is not consistent. Champagne glasses and then wine glasses run dry... More

We had planned for quite a while to go to L'air du temps and were not disappointed certainly by the food. We felt like the decor and atmosphere was just a bit too simple for a two star restaurant but they have just moved to a new location. The food which is of course the most important was just impeccable.... More

I first visited L'air almost three years ago, in their original location: a converted snackbar, no less! The new location is a revolution: a beautiful old farmhouse on a peaceful location. The cuisine is an evolution, a refinement of the chef's approach, leaning heavily on the foodpairing theory while introducing 'fusion cooking' elements (mostly Korean and Japanese). Like the majority... More

We left l'Air du Temps with very mixed feelings. While the food lived up to every expectation for a 2 star Michelin establishment, the service was way under par. From the starters through to dessert we were thrilled by the bold statements made by the chef who prepared a daring combination between Asian (in my view more Japanese) and French... More

Spartan decor, welcome 'water' and 'bread', Delicious snacks as part of the menu. Every dish offering an unexpected combination of flavours, yet with absolute respect for all ingredients.Outstanding presentation with a bit of tongue-in-cheek (e.g. 'moules frites' ...). Carefully selected wines accompanying the menu dishes. Excellent service. Note that the whole team is quite young, but very professional. If you... More

It's in the middle of nowhere but absolutely worth the trip. One of the best restaurants in Belgium and one of the only chefs who brings Asian and European cuisine together in a brilliant way.
