Hot day - good food

I'm pretty sure the heat 34 C / 93 F had a major impact in our ability to enjoy the food. Very grateful for shade. By the end of the meal everything was tasting too sweet. The salad with fruit and cheese started off good but too much dressing. Fries needed salt. Lamb was very good and cake with... read more

Walked in the face for a drink. We sat ourselves. It was around 11:00am. We were asked if we were going to have lunch. We responded no. You will have to move table!! What??? I have never been in an establishment and was asked to move tables when the place was COMPLETELY empty. We moved to the area that THEY... More

We really like the food in this restaurant there is always a lot of choice of food. The only thing we dislike is that the service is slow and you have to wait at least 20-40 minutes to get served. But it is worth the wait. It is recommended to reserve in advance because it is always full !

Stopped for a quick lunch when our tour group visited Dinant. We were on a schedule, so stepped up to the bar for service. We got meatballs in a lovely onion sauce with delicious frites, enjoyed with Orval, the local abbey beer. Really lovely!

We stopped here on a tour of Ardennes. The location is great, on the river, by Quay1. Immediately upon entering, we were met with a smiling face, offered a balcony seat and asked to wait for no more than 2 minutes while the table was prepared The lunch was delicious and service continued to be excellent. Great cafe!

After a visit at the Citadell we went there for a drink, it was 13:45: We entered the Cafe and as nobody came to ask us what we wanted, we took a seat on the terasse. After some waiting the waitress came, handed us menue cards (withou asking if we even wated to eat). She came back and we ordered... More

Excellent 'ambiance' - homey, but not messy! Excellent food, excellent service. Right on the river - so great views. We had something ordinary - veggie cous-cous and Trout, but it was very well done, and the creme brule for dessert was great. I don't write many reviews but this place deserved one.

This brasserie/restaurant is very well located by the river in the centre of Dinant. We, two families of a total of seven people, were found ourselves there almost accidentally as we had not timely reserved any other place. The food is good, of a quality expected in such an establishment. The service is average, but efficient though. Overall, either for... More
