Great weekend

A meal at Le Cercle des Voyageurs capped a great weekend in Brussels. Food was a tad on the salty side, but the ambience made up for it. What a lovely place.

Wandering around Brussels city centre, troubled by sudden rain without umbrella or jacket, this bar turned out to be a nice find. Very interesting interior, 1 wall decorated with many old suitcases - a statement piece. Good service, good beer and coffee, and a nice refreshing sorbet

Nice restaurant close to the touristic area (but outside tourists trap) and the famous manneken pis, few tables on the terrace. Big mussels casserole with good fries (instead of the usual many frites and few mussels...). Inside, you can find photo exhibition, library, a very pleasant place. The waiters are welcoming and the place is clean.

Anywhere that has a wall entirely made out of old leather suitcases is a win in my eyes! We were only here for a drink and to use the wifi but I would definitely go back because the atmosphere is wonderful and gives a real sense of stepping back in time to a more glamorous time.

Knowing Brussels quite well, this is a really nice and cosy place where I like to meet with friends, and have good good to eat. Very internallional menue card offerings: super burgers, veggy, excellent Ghentse Waterzooi,...Easy location, next to Manneken Pis.

This place needs to be discovered. The food was fantastic. Our group of 9 all raved about this place. All the food arrived together, it was hot , fresh and given some love before it was presented to us. 9/10 Its hard to find fresh loved food in Brussels. You are bombarded by haglers to "come in" everywhere but not... More

It's Sunday brunch and we are really hungry having waited 1 1/2 hrs. at a place nearby at which we gave up. Two people working here and they were a marvel in politeness, efficiency, etc. The food was very good. Getting a little tire of Brussels restaurants saying "We're out of our house win and we'll give you your choice... More

This is one of my favorite bar/restaurants in Brussels. Although located in the central area it is not too touristy. The bar area is newly refurbished with a collection of old suitcases and you can sit and enjoy your drink in an exotic, colonial atmosphere. There is also an outside sitting area, for those rare days when the weather is... More

The salmon that was served to me today at Le cercle des voyageurs was unfortunately not fresh. The reaction of the waiter: all (...) cooks have tasted and are of the opinion that everything is ok. Funny. Since the taste was clearly not ok, I did not want to take any risks, and refused the dish. At the end of... More
