Bienvenue Frites!

A MUST VISIT in Brussels if you want to try a local favorite, Frites! Good prices, a variety of sauces, and an easy to get to location. There is other food available but I only ever got the fries. Also most places around there (bars, other restaurants, shops) specifically state that fries are... read more

Great chips and you can take them into a number of restaurants and bars around the square. A real buzz around the square and this way of working is really good. Try it and see what you think. Large chips are €3 and sauce costs an extra 70cents, a cheap lunch or snack.

This seemed a popular place for simple food (especially frites that they sell a lot of) and I wanted something quick and easy to take back to my apart hotel. Burger and frites for 6 euros was a bargain and they were great value for money but nothing special.

By far those were the best fries that i have ever eaten. The service is a little slow, so be prepared for long lines, but dont give up, it is great

To eat fries in Brussels is a must and having read the reviews I went at Place Jourdain expecting to taste something extraordinary. I think the fries are ok, but not the ones I thought it would be. I thought that they would be cut in hand and fresh. Instead, I've tasted fried frozen potatoes just the ones you would... More

This place is always crowded. We had to wait about 1/2 hour in a long line. This place is very famous for its frites. A must place to experience the real frites fries.

First read about Maison Antoine on Wikitravel. Glad that I visited the place because they serve really yummy french fries with a variety of sauces to select from.

Awful. Living off past glories. The chips here, which were once hand cut on the premises, are now cooked from frozen and have a nasty slimy look to them before frying. Some of the ones I had last night in my supposedly large (but rather sparse) portion tasted like leftover chips that had been reheated. Yuk. The surly young guy... More

non si può non andare da antoine. vi avviso la coda é lunga ma va fatto. fritto vero, non proprio salutare ma va provato. respiri il fritto per strada e ne sarai attratto, puoi mangiare le patatine tranquillamente seduto nei pub al angolo della piazza, purché consumi da bere :-) . you have to try. no good for your health...
