Mama is in the kitchen and the rest of the family tend to the tables. Excellent restaurant with lovely home-made food and a great wine list. Be sure to book - if not, expect to have to wait in line for a while. Quite understandably a very popular place!

This is a family affair with at times three generations working to bring customers homely Italian food. Unimpressive looking from the outside, indoors you'll find a cosy setting with a lively atmosphere. The food is surprisingly good, there is nothing fancy here, just a homely Italian meal. There are a good number of restaurants closed at this time of year,... More

The restaurant was close to our hotel. We enjoyed it so much we wanted to go back the next day. We received a glass of rose wine and a basket of bread on arrival and did not feel pressurised to rush to order or eat. We were kept updated as to the status of our order. Desserts were divine too.... More

Ate there on my last trip to Brussels. Il Pasticcio had been highly recommended by a family member, and I was not disappointed. The food was incredible, the staff both friendly and efficient, and the atmosphere absolutely charming (we dined on the terrace, which is simply lovely). I don't usually spend that much in restaurants, but it was well worth... More

We arrived at our hotel (Leopold) and our room overlooked this restaurant. We decided to try it out as we had been travelling all day. We were asked if we had a booking, which we did not, however, they managed to fit us in. There were large groups at a few tables, but the kitchen coped admirably. We were given... More

This is a very small restaurant near the EC area. In my last trip to Brussels it was recommended but they have limited open days and could not go. This time I knew they were open on Friday so I took the chance without reservation (a good idea for Friday nights since it is packed). This was no problem. They... More

We just turned up on a Friday night and they squeezed us in, we were so glad they did. Most of the menu is pasta, but there is such a variety. Clearly this is a family run restaurant and the atmosphere is great, prices were reasonable too. The other plus for us was that it was across the road from... More

This is a family run restaurant near the EU commission offices. It's mostly a lunch time business but opens for a couple of evenings - we were there on a Friday night and the place was very busy so we were lucky we had a reservation. Nice ambience, service was good and food choice excellent. Tagliatelle with liver was very... More

It is a typical italian restaurant for foreigners, the cuisine is not bad, but nothing special, It is not really a refined one, I would say maybe a "heavy" cuisine, I felt bloated after the lunch.

We enjoyed one of the best meals we have eaten in a long time at IL PASTICCIO. The staff found us a last minute table on a busy Friday night. We ordered a sharing platter of meats, cheeses and vegetables for starters which was amazing. We ordered squid for main course and while we waited was given a free drink... More
