this place has completely lost its charm since it has been taken over by the new owners (french &swiss) who have no feeling for what this place, typical brussels, butchers specialilties, stands for. it might be true that parisan waiters are arrogant, but please stay in paris and don't spoil the friendly brussels atmosphere.

My husband and I ate here based on the excellent reviews. I'm not sure if there was loss in translation or if the waiter was just blunt, but we didn't feel very welcome. This place really is for those with a want for "specialty meats" aka liver, brain, tongue. We got the only two items that were "normal"- beef stew... More

One would think that a place where they have had two servings for years, at 19.30 and 21.30, would be organised in a away to be able to serve all people who obviously come at the same time to dine. Well, not in this place! The food was nice. However, a very rude weiter who would not apologise for not... More

There's something about walking into a restaurant and being instantly told off that really spoils the pleasure of dining out. We'd long wanted to try this place and arrived admittedly late for the first service at 7:30pm. But there are ways to let diners know that they will have slightly less time for their supper than by being told off... More

It is a nice restaurant with a good atmosphere, although a bit crowded. The place is known for the organ meat, but we ate vol-au-vent. The portion was just big enough, but the taste was nice, freshly prepared and with good chicken pieces. We got some fresh mayo and fresh french fries (with a bit special taste). The wine that... I went there with my wife the first weekend in September 2014. It was a warm evening and we got a table in the back yard, which was just perfect. The food was very Belgian and very good. My choice was lambs tongue for starter, mash with sausages for main course and both were excellent. The service was really good,... More

This restaurant is amazing! One of the best meal I never add. If you like offal, this is THE place to try. And if by any chance your dates are not offal ‘’amateur’’ (which is more than probable) no worries, they will find something to their satisfaction on the menu. My husband had the wagyu steak and it was to... More

A group of 4 us visited Viva M'Boma, we had looked in advance & knew the orientation of the menu. However, 2 of us had Onglet Beef Steaks 1 had Horse Steak & another Chicken Vol au Vent. Mains were reasonably priced & were good portions. The steak was one of the best i've ever had, cooked medium rare. (Not... More

I don't know what it is with the service in Brussels but this one was exceptionally bad. So bad so that I remember it enough to write a review. I visited this place back in 2010. I don't know who they thought they were but they treated us like lower quality people, looked down on us. I won't return there... More

If you're looking for a restaurant with both traditional Belgian cuisine and some more adventurous selections on the menu this is your place! It's turned into one of our favorite restaurants in the city and is in a delightfully walkable neighborhood.
