My third visit to this wonderful temple to traditional - and offal-based - Brussels food.

I always love coming here and tasting things I've never tried before. This time it was choesels: sweetbreads, kidney, tail, testicle, trotter in a rich lambic (a Brussels beer) based sauce. (To go with it, I went for a starter I had already had - cows udder - just because I could!) This... read more

The menu is fantastic, the knowledge of the staff in recommending food for individual palette and wine to accompany is very good. There is a lot of different menu options here.

A colleague and I visited this restaurant when we were in Brussels on business recently, following the recommendation of someone from the city. We wanted to try authentic Belgian food. The food was very good. I sampled snails and potatoes, followed by a beef stew (a very simple preparation with meat and a beer-based sauce - very different from an... More

Place has a really nice and peaceful garden in the back. Menu includes interesting selection of different kinds of meat and intestines (kidney, liver, bone marrow....), but also a lot of choices for those who like more traditional parts on their plate. We had a soup with bone marrow and veal liver, and they were great. Wanted to come again,... More

What a wonderful place! Located into the heart of Bxl, in St. Kathrine's quarter Viva m'boma is a small restaurant facing the main street. It's recognizable because of the white tiles covering the facade. Inside is simple but elegant. Food is amazing and the chef is able to cook every part of animals body in many ways. You can find... I loved our dinner at Viva M'Boma! But, make sure you are a fan of meat and offal! Not really the place for veggies, I can tell you :) I had a dish with a combination of sweetbread with kidneys, I think. And I really loved it! The others were enthusiast too, and I know quite some people that come... More

Not only was the service poorly, no feeling with the client, but worst, the food was terrible. On the menu was written home made fresh french fries, well you have to be carrefull not to break your teeth, The stew was discusting, and when we made a remark about it, they did not appoligies at all altough they knew they... It is a nice place, the atmosphere in the back yard was wonderfull. The service was correct and quick. They have a limited menu, most of it dedicated to tripes and offal, but you can also have various "normal" butcher and tipical belgium dishes.I had a lamps kidney salad that was amazing. I also recommend the flamish stew. The house... More

It used to be such a nice restaurant but it lost all it's charm. New owners & new staff treat you without respect and they cannot even explain what's on their menu. Very slow service, we had to be there at 7.30 for the first shift, received the menu 20' later and could finally order (after calling the waitress at... More

I visited the place for a first time and was nicely surprised by the atmosphere of the former butchery and the typical Belgian dishes. Good value for money and nice ambiance.
