A bit pricey, but serving excellent meat, though somewhat small portions, specifically being a bit stingy with the injera. Service was ok, but rushed.
This was not my first visit to Kokob. The welcome was very warm as usual. We ordered too much food as we were hungry but they provide takeaway. I have traveled to Ethiopia before and the food over there is really great. It is nice to go to this place and almost feel like you are back in Ethopia. Highly... More
it is an experience to eat at Kokob, you understand the ethiopian culture through the tastes and the way of eating. we went there many times with several guests from different countries and cultures and they were all very happy of such experience. not one complained or didnt like the great food you need to go
We went to this restaurant upon a friend's recommendation. We arrived very early on a Saturday evening without reservation and were lucky to find a table. For someone not very familiar with African food, it was not so easy to understand the various dishes in the menu at first, however the glossary they have at the end helped a lot... More
I had dinner few days ago and I really want to come back soon. It's a nice place in the center of Brussels, the atmosphere is welcoming. The waiters explain how to eat as Ethiopian tradition. It's funny to eat by hands, the food is tasty. The portion of the menu of 20 euro that I took is enough. Prices... More
Kokob serves erhiopian style food that you eat with injera, small pancakes with a bit of a sour taste. They serve a whole variety of dishes, ranging from vegetarian to full on meat dishes. I recommend the meat in berbere sauce, it's a bit spicy but very tasty!
We were in Brussels for just one day and found so many good reviews of this restaurant, we had to give it a try. The service was exceptional and the presentation of the meal along with the Ethiopian coffee after dinner was a one of a kind experience. If you like spicy, ethnic foods and are looking for a fun... Go to Brussels on average 6 to 8 times a year on business and although the meetings are near the airport I try to stay downtown to sample the local restaurants. Some friends from Portugal suggested Kokob and we ended up having a very enjoyable evening away from the normal restaurants visited by tourists. Pros: good atmosphere and friendly waiters,... More
I visited Kokob with two friends back in May, we stayed in Brussels for three nights and decided to go for lunch shortly before our journey home. We had read a few mixed reviews on TripAdvisor but decided to take our chances since nobody had eaten Ethiopian food before and we were eager to try something new. The vast majority... More
I've been to erhiopia several times and i wanted to introduce ethiopian food to my familiy. Inhad been to this restaurant before and had chosen the courses myself and they really tasted like in ethiopia. But the other night we all order the "discovery menu"(chef's choice) and i must say that it was disappointing: with the exception of one course... More
