Totally different experience

We ended up here after the place we'd originally planned to visit turned out to be full, and thank goodness we did! The most expensive and pretentious Ethiopian restaurant ever - and be sure that you will not find a single Ethiopian person inside. The waiter will teach you a lesson about how to eat the food by stuffing food in your mouth at his free will. Be prepared to be shocked, stuffed and to wake up with a swollen face the... More

This was my first experience in an Ethiopian restaurant and it was a very good one. The service was excellent and the staff exceptionally kind as they explained the dishes as well as the customs that went with them. Then the meal itself was delicious with unique and quality ingredients. The atmosphere was very relaxed as we shared the common... More

When we arrived we found out there must have been a misunderstanding which resulted in a lack of reservation on a very busy night. Initially I was concerned that there wouldn't be a spot for the two of us however I left my number and went for a drink with my partner and shortly after I got a call back.... More

We visited the place in a very busy night and got a table very promptly. The place is very nicely decorated with a fantastic ambience. The staff was very friendly, helpful, and happy to speak English to us. We ordered the "discovery menu" for 20 Eur each which allowed us to get a sample of different dishes. That included 2... More

My husband and I have just returned from short break in brussels and on our travels we came across this restaurant very near to our hotel. We were unable to get a booking on our first night so we booked for the next night as this place was so busy. What an experience it was unlike anything we have tasted... More

We didn't have dinner reservations but still received a table after waiting not even 5min! The waiter took time and explained the menu and Ethiopian cuisine and customs. The rest of the evening it was hard to get the staffs attention - they seemed to have way too many guest and tables. Otherwise the food was delicious and spicy! We... More

Service should underline and not undermine the work in the kitchen. Delicious Ethiopian cuisine in the heart of Brussels, should be the winning formula, would it be not for bad service. Slowness and rudness do not go together with well spent evening.

Walked in on the offchance without having booked. We were in luck ! They were able to shuffle a few bookings around and accommodate our party of six. We ordered the chef's selection for 3 vegetarians and 3 omnivores. Worked out really well. Delicious and great fun. The kids were able to eat with their fingers without getting a slap(only... More

It is a very nice place in the center of the town. The food is delicious and the personal is helpful and friendly. I've been there twice and if I will back to Brussels I'll probably take a diner at Kokob.
