I have eaten here many times: this year and when I was last in Brussels about 20 years' ago. Thankfully the restaurant hasn't changed much. Close to the Grande Place but not one of the touristy restaurants that spoil the area. The restaurant is small and on two levels. Great menu (mostly seafood but plenty of other choices). Friendly service.... More

All dishes were very fresh and delicious . Very friendly and efficient staff. Food could be served in a more sophisticated way.

Fish or meat .... Everything is fresh and tasty! Try the Belgian specialities ... But don't forget to book your table ... Otherwise ... Forget it!

Nice location, which I think you pay for, but expensive place for what they serve. They could do a lot more to serve attractive food, - here food is just "slammed" on plate with no sophistication!. Meat was quite good. One of our party had fIsh which resulted in food poisoning so be careful - I don't tjink they serve... More

Although in a touristy area seemed to be mainly locals. Loved the food. One of our favorite restaurants on our trip. The four of us had among other things, the sweetbreads, sole, mushroom appetizer, duck confit--all superb. If am ever in Brussels again (and I hope to as the food is excellent there), I would definitely go back.

You get the sense other diners have been coming here for years. Portions are massive, and wait staff are quite friendly to solo diners. Excellent value, too. A glass of wine and an entree is well below 40 eur. I had a risotto with a perfect pan fried sea bass, and a glass of nice dry white recommended by the... More

Our hotel clerk recommended this restaurant and I am so glad we listened! A quirky, lived in, unpretentious and established restaurant, fill to the brim with local diners on a Tuesday night, a good sign I think. I was a little dubious at first as it is close to the main drag of 'restaurant street' where most menus have pictures... More

We had dinner there. The food was traditional Belgian, less refined than I expected, but the portions were huge. The selection of wines was very good. The service was friendly and professsional, but you can expect nothing less from staff working there for decades. You will not be disappointed if you are looking for classic Belgian food, especially fish, just in... Nice place and good food at a reasonable price (for Bruxelles). We went by chance and we returned 2 evening on the row. Waiters might be a bit too sportive but remember ..it is a bistrot, not a Restautrant.

Having dined here occasionally over several years, and returning after a gap of over a year, we were struck by two things: the continued consistent excellence of the food (especially the fish dishes), and the growing complacency of the service, which has become almost offhand. But the food is so good that I will have to check out the service... More
