good food in a quite corner of the city centre

The restairant is in the nice environment of the Galerie des Princes, far from the tourist traps behind the Grand Place. Food selection is somewhat limited but of high quality and nice presentation. Waitres coudl talk something different than french as well!!

This is one of my Belgian husband's fave restaurants. It is an institution. I had the bouillabaisse and it was hands down the best dish of my Belgian visit! The rouille sauce that came with the dish was so amazingly flavorful. The restaurant is small but very charming and unique. We loved our waiter, who had a great sense of... More

This restaurant is not as fancy as we thought it would be. The interior is very nice and the service is very good and very friendly. I had the salmon special of the house that they have made for years. It was excellent. The dish is actually difficult to describe and do it justice - salmon in a tasty crust... More

Loved the setting and the food was delicious. Sauces were a well-balanced blast of flavors along with highlighting the ingredients. Husband had the grilled bass & I had the salmon paired with a white wine. Dessert was good, but not amazing (meringue glacée). It was the best dinner of our trip!

L'Ogenblik is very good. If I lived in Brussels, I would dine here often. The biggest problem with the Grand Place area is it's all for tourists and not very good. Don't eat on the main square and don't eat in any restaurant displaying sandwich boards with photographs of the food. L'Ogenblik is located on the corner of an alley... More

This place is on a quiet side street off the main Rue de Bouches. The food was excellent and it was very apparent that care was taken in preparing the dishes. With that said, I found the servers to be a tad rude and pretentious, having overheard them making fun of me in french. I felt a little uncomfortable and... More

Really great food, good friendly service, not the cheapest, but well worth it for a special occasion. Very authentic deco. Very French style food, can't go wrong!

Lovely restaurant in the Galleries St Hubert near our hotel. We started with the Rillette which we shared. Mmmm good. I ordered the Sea Bass. It was fresh and perfectly cooked with a nice sauce and vegetables. The steak ordered medium was tender and lovely. Again a terrific sauce. I ordered the Speculoos for dessert, a flemish speciality. Some sort... More

We were a bit skeptical of L'ogenblik given its location in Brussels' most touristic part surrounded by tourist cafes and bars but it was recommended to us by Belgian friends so we booked ourselves a table. I'm a huge fan of classic Belgian/French brasserie fair that is of very high quality and that is exactly how I would describe this... More

We got a very delicious dinner, with good fish cooked and served in the traditional French way. Warm welcome by the owner, and good suggestions on the dishes. However, after the main course, we had to wait for a long time for the dessert. Maybe the waiting time was due to the fact that we were in seven and we... More
