This bistro used to be an institution. The setting is adorable and I was excited to bring a foreign client here. Truly disappointed: Service was not attentive and food was really average: I boasted on our "croquettes aux crevettes" but they were far too dry! The tuna as a main was not a good choice either: tasteless! Regretfully, I won't... More

This is a wel know place by real Brussels people and it is not just a torist place even if it is just few steps from Grand Place. Waiters unfriendly (Welcome in Belgium!!) they do not deserve any tip but food is really good, It is a French like food not very heavy and quite "mediterranean" not a cheap place.... More

Interior, service, food all close to the pinnacle of Belgian bistro cuisine. Some timeless dishes, excellent ingredients. Busy, professional kitchen. Also worth trying for Pigeon torte, or some of the fish plates (ie, trio de poisson tartare) Head and shoulders above every other Belgian restaurant in the center of town. Worth the little extra for a big jump in quality.... More

Wow! I was taken to this restaurant by my Belgian friends and it's a gem of gastronomic activity. Favored by the locals themselves and not a tourist in sight, it's a wonderful place to sample some authentically good Belgian food. I had the beef stroganoff and the meat melted on the fork. Unpretentious, friendly and full of the ambiance of... More

My partner and I found this place by chance when we were hunting for a place to settle down for lunch. The moment we entered the restaurant we felt it was the right choice - the decor was warm and inviting against the cold winter outside. We jumped straight to mains - I had grilled fish dishes while my partner... More

I've been a patron of this place for many years now. Every time I am in Brussels, which is too often to my taste, I try to mitigate the experience by booking a table at l'Ogenblik. I've never been disappointed and I sincerely hope that I shall never be. Ambiance of this place is exceptional. It is very close (literally,... More

This is an amazing place for a special meal in Brussels. The decor is traditionally Flemish, the menu french style. The panier of scallops and langoustine is especially recommended

This is a very exceptional Flemish-looking restaurant, named "l ' Ogenblik" (a moment) is therefore well chosen. A short distance from the Grand Place, Manneken Pis and Jeanneke Pis and around many cozy streets. Price / quality top!

Bottom line - our experience was ruined by two servers who were rude and rushed us throughout. We cannot agree with other TA contributors. If this is the real Brussels/Belgium experience, this restaurant is a bad representation. It suffers terrible service and the food, although classic, is not all that. This restaurant is located inside the Galeries St. Hubert shopping... More
