Tasty French Cuisine

This place is on a quiet side street off the main Rue de Bouches. The food was excellent and it was very apparent that care was taken in preparing the dishes. With that said, I found the servers to be a tad rude and pretentious, having overheard them making fun of me in french. I felt a little... read more

Really great food, good friendly service, not the cheapest, but well worth it for a special occasion. Very authentic deco. Very French style food, can't go wrong!

Lovely restaurant in the Galleries St Hubert near our hotel. We started with the Rillette which we shared. Mmmm good. I ordered the Sea Bass. It was fresh and perfectly cooked with a nice sauce and vegetables. The steak ordered medium was tender and lovely. Again a terrific sauce. I ordered the Speculoos for dessert, a flemish speciality. Some sort... More

We were a bit skeptical of L'ogenblik given its location in Brussels' most touristic part surrounded by tourist cafes and bars but it was recommended to us by Belgian friends so we booked ourselves a table. I'm a huge fan of classic Belgian/French brasserie fair that is of very high quality and that is exactly how I would describe this... More

We got a very delicious dinner, with good fish cooked and served in the traditional French way. Warm welcome by the owner, and good suggestions on the dishes. However, after the main course, we had to wait for a long time for the dessert. Maybe the waiting time was due to the fact that we were in seven and we... More

We took some clients here for dinner one night when we were visiting from London, on their recommendation. At first glance the restaurant looks very basic in its decor, and quite old. This bodes well in a way as it is clear it is all about the food. We were a group of 8, there was a group of 12... More

The tables are long and narrow. Plate, paper napkin are directly on the stone. You sit at right angle or side by side. The noise is high. The food makes it all worthwhile.

L'Ogenblik is placed in a busy restaurant hub area, just off the magnificent arcade, and could easily have ended up as a tourist trap, but has retained its integritry and quality. I've had lunch there several times before - sort of a tradition, but this time I was there in the evening as part of a group of 9 people.... More

Wonderful location, beautiful building, friendly staff, excellent cooking, but the quality of the actual food let this restaurant down for me. We had the entrecôte and the Turbot. Both were wonderfully cooked, but quite tasteless. Given the high prices in this restaurant, I was very disappointed as I had chosen it for a special night out believing I couldn't go... More

This was right around the corner from our hotel and came highly recommended and we're so glad we tried it We've never had more delicious mozzarella in the Caprese salad, and the subtle pesto accent was perfect. We each had the turbot, cooked with herbs and wine in a foil wrapper, with fresh snap peas and carrots. WOW!! This was... More
