Brassdoff's review is absolutely right, I know because I went there with friends the night before he did and what a shock. It was never really an absolutely blow-your-mind Indian restaurant, but it was always acceptable, comfy, nice staff, and now...no Cobra, no Kingfisher, no-can-do.

I've been going to Mumtaz for years and never had a bad experience. Great food, nice atmosphere and friendly, welcoming staff. But when I went again last night with friends, imagine our dismay on being greeted with a sign in the doorway warning that 'this restaurant no longer serves alcohol'. All three of us enjoy a Kingfisher (beer) or two... More

I've found this restaurant on trip advisor and I can say I've done a good choice. Kind staff and really polite owner. Delicious chicken tikka and biryani. Great dinner for a good price.

We had gone there on the weekend and they was a long wait. The place is cozy but serves good food. Strongly recommend the dal and vegetables. I think it is one of the good places to be in while in Brussels. Although it had european taste of less spicy but def worth a visit.

Mumtaz is offering an excellent quality of indian-pakistani food with lot of flavor. Quality of the dishes are constant, If you want to visit the place during the week end it could be packed. But you can have take away. It is just a pity that they do not offer delivery service

I love to eat in restaurants and tried many in Brussels. I also love Indian/Pakistanian food. Mumtaz is my first choice in Brussels. The food is excellent, the atmosphere is romantic and the staff is very friendly. Don't hesitate to go and eat there, you will go and go again !

I decided to stick to Mumtaz as my Indian restaurant of choice in Brussels after making the mistake of trying another one in the centre that paled in comparison. I have been to Mumtaz plenty of times and have never once been disappointed. The food and service are both excellent in my opinion. As a British (and vegetarian) person living... More

Finding "correct" Indian food on the European continent is a challenge, often toned down to suit local tastes. Mumtaz is a bright spot among those around. Nice selection of standard dishes with enough heat and spice to keep it interesting. Decor is nice and service is super friendly. Recommended.

As a British person living in France I do not get to eat Indian very often... so used this restaurant whilst visiting Brussels. It was very good... the tandoori was excellent and the they were very helpful when we were ordering. The decor is not up to much... but whose looking at the walls when eating a good curry!
