A group of a dozen came for an evening meal in this cafe-style 'restaurant'. It was more like fawlty towers. We were met by a confused waiter who assumed we were going to be speaking flemish (after a booking by the hotel). After an hour we had our beers, but all the wrong ones but he didn't care and walked... More

As when we travel food tasting is probably our top priority, I cannot understand why this place is not listed everywhere as the best one to go to for moules frites but I like the fact that it is not included in every single Bruxelles guide as this keeps it more "secret" and intimate! It is a small restaurant in... More

No need to dress up and not in the greatest area but if you want excellent moules and frites this place is awesome. So they say it's not changed in years, I believe it but who cares we went for the Moules and they were awesome and a half. Well done and thank you.

If you want to get back to the basics of typical belgian food culture, this place is a must. The setting looks like an old beer bar, and hasn't changed in ages. 30 years ago there were plenty of these places in town, but they have all dissapeared and been replaced by horrible kebab and pita restaurants. The food is... More

This restaurant is an authentical brusseleer restaurant. Charming, cosy, with a wonderful welcome. The service is given with big smiles, good words. The mussels are excellent, french fries crusty as they have to be. The recommended white wine was perfect for the mussels. A must to go if you want to enter the brusseleer dimension. As the restaurant is quiet... More

I love restaurants that pretend to be nothing more than what they are and as a result the food is unpretentious, reasonably priced, and (hopefully) good. La Bonne Humeur fits this category. It's a small establishment that serves large pots of mussels as well as a varied menu of steaks and other seafood. The frites are delicious and the service... More

We went to the restaurant to enjoy some true mussels and we were not disappointed. We started off with the classical croquette duo, which was good. We then had our main course: mussels in white wine. The mussels were well prepared and the French fries were nice and crusty. The white whine we selected was excellent, the Bouchard Pere &... More

This restaurant didn't change his interior since it was founded in the 70's and that's already part of the charm. When we were here, a new owner was in charge since one week. She told us she didn't want to change too much for not spoiling the charm. I had some croquette with shrimp filling, an all time classic, but... More

Given the high number of positive reviews, we decided to give La Bonne Humeur a try for a Sunday lunch. We were the only customers, except for the waiter and his friend, talking loudly even while serving us. The mussels were poorly cooked, no real taste, the sauce badly seasoned and with no wine or beer in it, the fries... More
