The place for seafood. Old fashioned and good service.

La Belle Maraichere is a wonderful small quaint restaurant. We actually reserved well in advance before we arrived in Brussels due to the fact it is always booked up. It's a quaint restaurant with superb food and exceptional service! We had skate fish and sole. Service was great!

Tip:MUST make reservations! We sat and watched at least 15 groups be turned away because no reservations were made. Food was made with care. Focus was on quality! I had the lobster fricasse and it was perfect. Tender, filling, and a flavor explosion on your taste buds. Their butter with bread was mouthwatering delicious. The water with a lemon wedge... More

Charming restaurant but a little tight with the tables & seating. The food was outstanding, especially the mussels and scallops. If you're not a big spender (wine, drinks, appetizers) you may not get the most attentive service. Overall this was a very good restaurant to celebrate our last night in Brussels.

Visited here on our honeymoon. Great classic restaurant with a homely feel and friendly service from the owners.. Small place so you're squeezed in to you seats but fits with the atmosphere. We had the Moules frites and they were great.. Theres a lot of choice for moles in that area and some places are definitely over priced. this place... More

We had dinner here on a Saturday evening. It's a classic fish restaurant with some really excellent food. Service was slow-paced but fine and the wine list is extensive and very reasonable in price. We can really recommend the sole with lobster sauce: it really was delicious!

This is a very nice and genuine restaurant. The fact it is so popular among locals shows clients come back. This is for a good reason; the food is remarquable. We went for the gastronomic menu. This was a delight! The highlights being the fish soup and the absolutely delicious Lobsterfricasee. Bon appetit!

Our hotel recommended this restaurant to us. It was very local and they were very accomodating to 6 Americans. They made excellent suggestions for our entrees. We all had something different and everyone was pleased. The food is delicious. We had a fun waiter and had a very enjoyable evening.

This restaurant was recommended to us by a local. If you are staying in Brussels, try to get here. Not a tourist joint, The most amazing food I've had in along time. The grey shrimp they start you with, looks nasty, but try it anyway. We had the waiter in stitches, watching us try to figure out how to eat... More
