Was recommended by the hotel we stayed in and I must say I was highly impressed. The balcony seats are very romantic and private suitable for couples or friends. Attentive service and delicious food. The goats cheese starter is among the best starters I have ever tasted.

Very good steak and salads, friendly staff, nice ambiance, in a former and antique shop with art deco interior design elements. A bit overpriced.

Food is nothing special, service ok, space crammed. If you want to come, come for the setting which is indeed original

La Quincaillerie means "The Hardware Store" in French; it is an old building that used to be a hardware store and the interior is complex and interesting. We came here many times when we lived in Brussels, first for work events, and then on our own. We just went back to Brussels for a visit (June 2014) and met old... More

I am a big fan of this Brasserie; Fishes and sea foods are fresh, well presented and so tasty; Service is professional, dishes served quite fast and staff always happy smiling; The atmosphere is cosy/authentic brasserie; In the heart of Chatelain;

After waiting 25 minutes for the starters, we requested our plates and not only we didn't receive any apologies or explanations but also the waitrose was laughing. Same situation happen with the mains. Worse and arrogant service. Good food

Great seafood restaurant with quite a bite of character. Attended with a group of 10. The food was excellent, in particular the seafood including the large platter, the oysters, the turbot and the sole. The service was exceptionally slow - perhaps it is due to the constant climbing of stairs by staff but in any event I would estimate we... More

The service was warm and friendly and the food was good. We had beefsteak that was perfectly cooked - also had a tomato & rosemary tart appetizer... nicely presented and delicious. Chocolate Mousse for dessert finished an EARLY dinner in a nice, laid back atmosphere. The only drawback was the really narrow, spiral staircase leading to our table - not... More

The restaurant seems to be quoted as "in" in the lovely area of Chatlain. The place in itself is particular but that evening it was so rowdy that we could not have a decent conversation at table. The service was just about average but I would consier the food poor for what we paid. A so-called risotto should have the... More

Very nice place and a true establishment amongst restaurants in Brussels. The Quincaillerie has been at rue du Page for many many moons and the restaurant has done an excellent job in respecting the original decoration and not demolishing the place - as it often happens. The service is quick and the advice given by the staff members very accurate.... More
