Good if you like Oysters...

I was taken here by a colleague and thankfully I am a fan of oysters and seafood. We all selected the Le Good Food Menu, which was a set menu for just under 30 euros. The oysters were good, the steak was also very tasty and the desert was ice cream. Service was very good and the local Principale... read more

The place is quite small and restricted however it is a nice environment. Love the sea truffles and freshness of the crab.

Amazing experience even if it was a very busy night, being Valentine's day. The staff was very welcoming and very attentive to details. The food was excellent and well presented. We were amazed by the professionalism of the team; it was like watching a perfect choreography. A bit pricey but this is absolutely justified given the quality.

It proved kind of difficult to book a good restaurant in Brussels at the last minute on Valentine's Day. La Quincaillerie was a tip from a local and luckily, they could accommodate us. The place looks great (it was originally a hardware store, but a very posh one), the staff was friendly and the oysters to die for.

I went to the Quicaillerie three years ago and very recently. I must admit it was still as good. Service was fine although they could'nt always answer all of our questions themselves (about the food itself and about the bill) and had to ask the senior ones. Tables for two are generally upstairs on the mezzanine and we thought it... More

Spent a weekend in Brussels and went for dinner at La Quincaillerie, which we liked very much when we lived in the Brussels area 15 years ago. It's still a nice place, decor wise different from most other restaurants because of its history which makes a nice change. But more important the staff is still friendly, the food really good... The setting is really cool and if you sit in the second floor you can do really good people watching. We had the tartar (nice, but not the best I have ever had) and the angus beef (very nicely prepared and tasteful). The cheese selection was great! The service was nice and you saw constantly people running around, however, they... More

Good restaurant, good food, excelent environment. But one thing: lack of attention. With a week prior reservation, they put us in the worst table of the place. After so much insistence and thirty minutes of patience, they change us. Then the night started. Ask for a table in the main room, there your night will be great.

Big favourite with locals and people in the know for high quality food, especially fresh seafood (oysters, etc)... had a business lunch for 4 people at 15€ per head, choice of two courses from entree, main or desert (mix)... drinks separate, good cellar, very relaxed atmosphere... mixture of business and couples... decor is very special (old hardware shop with dark...
