Not so good

Nice restaurant, friendly staff. However, the pace was somewhat surprising. We had negotiated a working lunch in the lounge. I expected some access. The waitress was served really slowly, until after the third warning only slightly quickened. I was a little confusion about serving. Maybe I assigned more people. Nobody nedoléval wine, offered no water. Only once at the beginning.

By coincidence we ate at La Quincaillerie on two consecutive nights. The first was with friends and the second as part of a large group of business associates. The business event, on a Sunday evening, had a set menu for in excess of 40 people. I don't think catering to large groups with fixed menu's is the restaurant's forte. The... More

I love the interior of this place, and really enjoy the sister restaurant in Ghent. We came here with my partner and her mother, and we all got the menu, and the food was excellent. I had one of the brown house beers, and it is one of the best I've tasted in Belgium! The service was also very attentive.... More

This has to be one of the most unique dining experiences. I The restaurant is in a former hardware store and before that an ironmongery. So it is very atmospheric and charming. The staff is gracious and helpful. We thought the pace of service was just right and we did not feel rushed. Our appetizers, entrees and desserts were beautifully... More

Was there with colleagues and had a good evening. Wonderful setting with many of the general store details kept. Friendly and welcoming staff, although perhaps not as good at English, but it worked out well. You get value for money with the set three-meal menu, but next time we'll try the seafood platter.

We were really looking forward to visiting the restaurant. Having walked for an hour and a half to get there, we were left disappointed. The starters were fine: arrived in time and were delicious. However, after the starter, things went downhill. We waited 30 minutes for our main course to arrive and people seated next to us (who had arrived... More

The vibe that you get when you walk into the restaurant is very cool because the entire place used to be a hardware store. The walls are lined with old wooden drawers that all of the screws and pieces you could buy were placed it. There is a huge clock right when you walk in and a nice display of... More

We had dinner at La Quincallerie following a recommendation, and we had a very double sided experience. The place is very nice, booking experience was swift and we were ushered to our table straight on arrival. Really enjoyed the decor and the atmosphere, buzzing without being too noisy, table was nice although for 5 probably more space would have been... More

Fantastic oysters and nice interior but the food is average and overpriced. It looks a bit cheap and disappointing for the price. Nice selection of wine but expensive.

Always busy, this a nice place to go out with friends. Food is tasty and a nice menu from fish to meat. I really enjoyed their "poulet de Bresse". if you have a table in teh old part, the place is great. Stafff was diligent and helpfull although wating times are still an issue. Despite that, I will still come... More
